Profile Hughes Hall
!
Hughes Hall, founded in 1885, is
Cambridge’s oldest graduate College.
It has particular strengths in
professional vocational subjects.
Hughes Hall boasts the highest
number of Judge Business School and
Law Faculty graduate students of any
Cambridge College, as well as a large
number of undergraduates and
researchers, making it a unique
recruitment pool!
!
Sponsorship would furthermore
increase brand recognition across
Cambridge and beyond, as we
compete in events such as the London Head of the River, and as kit is worn with
pride even off the river. As well as superb opportunities for recruitment, sponsorship
provides association with an exciting and highly competitive sport.

Hughes Hall Boat Club
Established in 1989, Hughes Hall Boat Club has risen rapidly through the
Cambridge College rowing ranks, winning Blades (awarded to crews winning all
races in the May Bumps regatta) almost every year.
!
Rowing with Hughes Hall Boat Club is by far the most popular extracurricular
activity for Hughes’ students - last year more than one hundred freshers joined.
Moreover, Hughes Hall is at the same time well known for producing many of the
University rowers who represent Cambridge against Oxford in the Boat Race. It also
numbers a current rowing world champion, Tom Ransley (Mens Eights) among its
graduates.
!
Hughes Hall’s unprecedented success has most recently culminated in being
awarded the Pegasus Cup for the third time - something that has not yet been
achieved by any other Cambridge college. The Pegasus Cup is awarded to the most
successful college boat club in May Bumps, the highlight of the college rowing year.

Sponsorship Detail
The Boat Club is always faced with both running costs, such as boat racking, race
entry fees, maintenance, coaching and insurance and and various one off expenses
for boats, blades and equipment. For 2014/15 we are looking for a new sponsor —
for you. We have two sponsorship classes to choose from:
!
Gold Class Sponsor - this exclusive full sponsorship will guarantee you tickets and
recruitment opportunities at various boat club events (e.g. the Boat Club dinner, a
very popular black tie affair), a company link on the college website and the boat
club website, one sponsored article per issue in our bi-annual college magazine
(circulation 7200), ten guest tickets for the May Bumps River marquee, one “try-out”
rowing session for up to eight staff, and your logo & name on ALL kit and on ALL
boats - for £ 3000 p.a.
!
Silver Class Sponsor - partial co-sponsorship can include any of the above features details to be discussed. If you are interested in these opportunities or if you would
like to find out more, please let me know!
