1. INVITATION TO TENDER
The Contracting Authority for the purpose of this Invitation to Tender is iEvo Ltd.
iEvo’s address is Unit 5, Mercury Court, Orion Business Park, Tyne Tunnel Trading
Estate, Newcastle upon Tyne NE29 7SN
iEvo has been successful in securing ERDF funding from the Department for
Communities and Local Government, as part of the Design for Growth
programme, run by Design Network North.
The aim of this funding programme is to support North East SMEs to undertake
design projects as part of their business growth strategy. In particular these
projects involve the client engaging with a third party supplier to deliver specific
design related aspects of the project.
iEvo therefore are looking to engage with a designer to work on their project,
and to bring specific areas of expertise.
The organisation must be familiar with and have demonstrable experience in the
areas described, and be available to contract with iEvo Ltd over the timescales
outlined within this Invitation to Tender.
2. BACKGROUND
The objective of the project is to work with the iEvo to deliver a design project.
This project has been identified by the company as being key to their future
growth, and has been approved by the Design for Growth Assessment Panel as
being a suitable project for the funding programme.
It is critical that the design partner has the relevant skills, expertise and
knowledge to deliver the project, and the ability to work effectively with the
client to ensure the successful and timely delivery of the project.
3. SPECIFICATION OF REQUIREMENTS
3.1 Services to be provided:
The tenderer must have a proven, demonstrable track record in the areas of
design required for the project. Within this tender document, iEVo has outlined
in Table 1, a list of requirements that the successful tenderer should
demonstrate. It should be noted however, that these requirements are not
exhaustive.

3.2 Timescales
The timescale for project completion is 31 March 2015. The tender document
should confirm that the applicant has sufficient resources to deliver the project in
this timescale.
4. PROJECT TEAM
The Project Manager responsible for this work is Shaun Oakes, Managing
Director.
5. QUALITY ASSURANCE / HSE
Tenderers should describe their procedures for quality assuring their work stating
whether they hold a recognised quality management certification. In particular
the device must be designed in such a way that it will pass CE, FCC, CSA, UL and
safety certifications.
6. CONTRACT VALUE
The total value of the project is estimated to be no more than £40,000.
Successful bidder will be given access to a detailed project specification, allowing
a detailed cost breakdown to be prepared. At this stage of the process, the
tender document should include examples of delivering projects of this size, and
evidence of their successful completion.
7. TENDER SUBMISSIONS
As a minimum tenderers should provide the following details within their
proposals:
 A brief description of the company, and any relevant experience
 Experience and qualifications of the individuals who will be responsible
for implementing the various stages of work.
 Examples of successful delivery of projects similar in scope and size.
 Availability of resources required to deliver the project in the timescales
available.
Tenders will be evaluated against the award criteria as set out within Section 10
and tenderers should also demonstrate within their tender proposal the
following assurance that they have: Capability to meet the contract requirements;
 Quality and experience of the team delivering the contract; including
evidence of a proven track record;
 Ability and flexibility to deliver outputs to the agreed timescales;
 Value for money and added value
8. AWARD CRITERIA
The contract will be awarded to the most economically advantageous tender
evaluated against the following criteria.

9. QUERIES
To ensure a fair and transparent tender process no approach of any kind in
connection with this tender should be made to any other person within, or
associated with RTC North, Design Network North, or iEvo Ltd. Failure to comply
may result in disqualification from the process.
10. TENDER RETURN
The tendering process is being managed on behalf of iEvo by RTC North Ltd. The
