invites applicants with experience and expertise in the treatment and management of patients with hematologic

s em cell transplantation and innovative cell- based or targeted immunotherapies. This is an
Open Rank, Open Track position. Facult y rank and appointment will be commensurate with accomplishments. The successful
applicant should have a track record of clinical excellence and expertise with experience in translational research and
clinical trials. The successful candidate will have experience in establishing a ser vice of adult autologous/st
s em cell bone
marrow transplantation along with new experimental gene - based and cell- based therapies. Experience in ser ving as a
mentor for younger facult y and the abilit y to develop and lead a strong multidisciplinar y hematology malignancy team within
the Universit y of New Mexico Cancer Center is highly desirable. Significant start up funding and recurring support will
assure success.
Minimum qualifications for the position include:
1) MD degree with board certification in Internal Medicine;
2) board certification/eligibilit y in Hematologyy or Hematologyy Oncology; and
3) must be eligible to work in the U.S.; this is not a J -1 Visa opportunit y.
Preferred qualifications include:
1) experience as an attending physician, mentor, or leader/developer of programs in hematologic malignancies and
transplantation;
2) experience as a clinical investigator including current and experimental clinical trials and translational research; and
3) experience in adult autologous/st

Hematology: Physician-Scientist Faculty Position

The Hematology Division of the Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis invites applications for a physician-scientist at the level of Assistant
Professor on the tenure track or Associate Professor with tenure. Candidates should have an M.D. degree or combined M.D./Ph.D. The successful applicant
will establish an independent, laboratory-based basic research program and will participate in the in-patient and consult services at Barnes-Jewish Hospital;
establishment of an outpatient clinic will be optional. The hematology service sees a broad range of patients with classical hematological problems,
including bleeding and thrombotic disorders, myeloproliferative neoplasms, lymphoproliferative disorders, bone marrow failure syndromes, autoimmune
hematologic diseases, and hemoglobinopathies. The hematology service does not treat patients with acute leukemia or perform bone marrow transplantation,
although there are close collaborations with clinicians that perform these services as part of the joint Hematology/Oncology fellowship program. Current
Hematology Division faculty members conduct a wide range of biomedical and basic science research (see http://hematology.wustl.edu/).

Minneapolis VA Health Care System
The Hematology/ Oncology Section of the Minneapolis
VA medical center invites applications for a staff
physician with clinical expertise in general hematology,
oncology, and coagulation. This is a full-time position
with an appointment also available at the University of
Minnesota. Memberships in the U of MN Comprehensive
Cancer Center and in CALGB/Alliance, as well as,
participation in an NIH-funded fellowship-training grant

Candidates should display excellent clinical care skills in
all areas of hematology/oncology/coagulation and interest

Hematology - Salt Lake City, Utah: The Intermountain
Center for Hematological Malignancies seeks BC/BE
attending physician candidates for our blood and
marrow transplantation and acute leukemia therapy
program. The candidate will join an experienced and
dedicated multidisciplinary FACT accredited and FDA
registered program, offering allogeneic (related and
unrelated) and autologous SCT. Many patients are
registered on institutional, SWOG and consortium
investigational protocols. The Intermountain Blood and
Marrow Transplant Program’s referral base consists of
the Intermountain West area (Utah and surrounding
states) and performs approximately 80 SCT’s yearly.
The Acute Leukemia Program receives newly
diagnosed acute leukemia patients who are candidates
for intensive induction. The program currently employs
6 experienced transplant/leukemia Hem/Onc physicians
and 10 midlevel providers as well as an extensive and
excellent dedicated nursing and ancillary staff. Backup
call will be shared equally between attendings.
