So what’s changing?
CIMA has made changes to the assessment of candidates in line with
developments in the use of technology in education and industry. The
structure, type, technology and frequency of assessments have changed.
A two-tier structure has been introduced, comprising objective tests for
each subject and an integrated case study at each level. These assessments
are computer based and can be taken on demand (for objective tests) and
four times a year (for integrated case studies). To get the full details
of the syllabus changes log on to www.dbs.ie/cima.

Brian Phelan CIMA F1, 1st in the World & CIMA F2, 3rd in Ireland May 2014
The key factors in my decision to choose DBS for my CIMA studies was primarily based on
the proximity to work, the lecturers and the open night I attended at CIMA Ireland.
I would highly recommend DBS to others the quality of the lecturers was excellent and very
helpful to get exam focused. QBR days and mocks in particular were very helpful
I did the QBR day and intensive as it was, I felt it really helps to focus you on what areas need
work and it really motivates you to reach the standard required for a professional exam
Brian is currently working with Hedgeserv as a supervisor
PAUL CUNNINGHAM CIMA F2, 1st in Ireland and Fifth Worldwide May 2014
I received a lot of positive feedback from colleagues about the quality of the lecturers so
both this and the central position of the school was a major driving factor in my decision
making process.
The lecturers are very capable and exam focused and the revision days/QBRs are key to
exam success. The days are highly exam focused with immediate and constructive feedback.
This enables you to identify areas of weakness in order to improve on for the “real” exam day.
Paul is currently working with An Post as an Audit Analyst
