MINISTRY MEETINGS
AND ANNOUNCEMENTS
MINISTRY OF DISCIPLESHIP
Prayer will be held on Tuesday,
January 20th at 7:00pm with
Bible Study commencing on
Tuesday, January 27th at 8:00pm.
In light of the social unrest
permeating throughout our
nation, the theme for this
semester will be “The God of
the Oppressed – Serving a Just
God in an Unjust Society”.
A congregational course entitled
“Liberation Theology” led by
Pastor Taylor will kick off on
January 27th and run through
March 3rd. Individual classes
will begin on March 10th and run
through May 5th. Registration
will be held in the Fellowship
Hall today following both
services; you may also register
on the CBC website.
Strength at Noon
Strength at Noon will resume on
Wednesday, January 28th at
11:30am. Pastor Taylor will
continue teaching from the
Book of Joshua. Sign up today
in the Fellowship Hall.
IMPACT Men’s Bible Study
will be resume on Saturday,
January 31st at 8:30am. Pastor
Taylor will be teaching from the
book “being God’s man…in the face
of temptation”. All men are invited
to attend as Pastor Taylor
continues to lead the men of
CBC into a deeper abiding
relationship with Jesus Christ.
SUNDAY SCHOOL
Sunday School is open today at
11:00am. Registration is in
Fellowship Hall C.
TRUTH MINISTRY
TRUTH, the teen ministry of CBC
will meet on Friday, January 30th from
7:00pm to 8:30pm Please note, there
is no meeting on Friday, 1/23. This
ministry is open to all teens, ages 1317. Parents/guardians must register
their teen(s); please contact the
ministry at TRUTH@cbcofe.org or
register online via the CBC website.
SIGN LANGUAGE MINISTRY
The CBC Sign Language Ministry will
meet on Wednesdays, beginning
February 4th at 1:15pm and 6:30pm.

LEADERSHIP MEETING
Attention all leaders! A leadership
meeting will be held for CBC leaders
on Friday, January 23rd and Saturday,
January 24th. On Friday, the session
begins at 7:00pm; on Saturday it starts
at 9:00am. A lite meal will be served
on Friday from 5:45pm – 6:45pm; a
continental breakfast will be served
on Saturday at 8:30am.
SUPER BOWL FELLOWSHIP
HOSTED BY PASTOR
TAYLOR AND THE MIGHTY
MEN OF IMPACT
Pastor Taylor and the Mighty Men of
IMPACT will host our annual Super
Bowl Fellowship on Sunday
afternoon, February 1st. Come out
and enjoy a time of food, fun and
fellowship. Tickets are on sale today
in the Fellowship Hall following both
services. You may also purchase
online at the CBC website.
2014 GIVING STATEMENTS
Statements for 2014 giving are now
available. All requests must be
submitted in writing or via the CBC
website. Forms are available in the
lobby bins. Requests will be processed

SELMA SPEECH & ESSAY
CONTEST FOR H.S.
STUDENTS
Calling all High School Students! 2015
marks the 50th anniversary of the
Selma March and signing of the
Voting Rights Act. The National
Museum in Philadelphia is sponsoring
The Selma Speech and Essay Contest to
inspire students, ages14-18 to think
about the importance of this time in
history.
Students must see the film Selma to
enter the contest. FYI, 7th, 8th and 9th
grade students with a valid school ID
or report card can see the movie for
free* at the AMC Garden State Plaza
Movie Theater in the Garden State
Plaza Mall, Paramus, NJ and other
theaters throughout NY & NJ. Visit
