On behalf of the 2015 Wahroonga FC Committee, I welcome you to the 2015 football
season.
Although the first matches for Wahroonga FC in 2015 will not be played until early
April, we have opened for registration in January and in February/early March we will
haves grading and team allocation, with hopefully some pre-season matches as well.
Wahroonga FC is part of the Northern Suburbs Football Association (NSFA), which
stretches from Brooklyn to North Sydney. WFC has mixed teams from U6-U18, girls’
teams from U10-U18 , all age teams and senior teams up to the over 45s.
Our Registration day is on Sunday 1 February at Karuah, and we welcome you to
attend. However most players register online and the following pages provide
information about how to do this.
We encourage you to register early as it helps us to organise player and teams.
We welcome our major club sponsor, La Zana Pizza, to their second year of
involvement with WFC.
Best wishes for an enjoyable and successful 2015 football season with Wahroonga FC
Mark Bendall
WFC President 2015

Club Coaching & Training
Training is a vital part of the success of each team
so each team must have a coach.
“We all had a lot of fun and I
have million drills and games
that I am dying to try out at training”.
Generally the coach will be a parent of one of the
players in the team, which is selected after the
grading process is completed.
Grass Roots Coaching Course
To support our coaches we have for over 3 years
being successfully providing a grass roots coaching
course. This is organised by our Coaching Director Nick Mountford.
This will be held on 16 March 2015. For details

“I attended the grass roots course this
evening. What a great course. I really
enjoyed it “
Nick Mountford

La Zana’s “Tigers’
Den”
As part of La Zana Pizza’s
sponsorship, Peter Lazanas and his
team have been running the canteen
at Karuah on Saturday mornings as
the “Tigers’ Den” with all the quality
and service you expect from their
restaurant and take away pizza
service.
Apart from a full breakfast BBQ menu
there is also fresh barista-made coffee
so there is no need to go elsewhere on
the way to Karuah to get your early
morning ‘cap or flat white’ - you can
get it at the Tigers’ Den from 8 am
each Saturday.
We ask all our members to visit the La
Zana Facebook page and to ‘like’ it as
you will be able to check out all the
great Wahroonga FC
events and offers they
provide throughout
the year.

Whilst the registration fees enable us to fulfill our obligations to the NSFA and provide
the grounds we do need additional funds to manage the club and provide support to our
players and teams. These extra funds need to come from sponsors and our own fundraising ….
and we need your help now for 2015 and beyond.
Sponsorship
Fundraising
There are a range of sponsorship options
so if you run or own a business and are
looking to not only support the club but
also help your business grow there are a
number of opportunities including:
1. Direct access to our +650 strong
membership through email and our
regular Newsletter.
2. Website and Facebook presence.
3. Signage at Karuah on Saturdays.
Our successful raffle last year generated
over $1,500 of extra funds and we are
looking not only to replicate this but also
to undertake further fundraising BUT we
need your help. We need:
1. PRIZES to include in the raffle. For a
local business this is an ideal
opportunity to promote it as a
committed community based company.
2. IDEAS! and ideally volunteers to
become involved in planning new
fundraising events.
If you would like to get involved in either being a sponsor of Wahroonga FC or
to help with fundraising activities please contact our Marketing Manager
Terry Jones 0418 488 768 or marketing@wahroongafc.com.au
