Terms & Conditions
Whatever the occasion..
THE NITTY GRITTY!
Period of Hire
Period of hire is usually 1-3 days - from the day prior to, until the day following
the event. If the event falls over a weekend, the hire period will be Friday to Monday.
Longer periods of hire by prior arrangement.
All items remain the property of The Jolly Good Vintage Company and may not be sub-hired,
lent to third parties or sold during the period of hire.
Deposit/Payment
A non-refundable deposit of 20% the total charge is required at the time of a
confirmed booking. This will secure your chosen date.
Balance of payment is required 30 days prior to the date of event.
Funds must be paid and cleared before delivery/collection of hired items or
in the case of styling services, before the date of the event.
The client will be invoiced by JGVC when relevant payments are due.
Payment may be made by cash, cheque, bank transfer or Paypal.
Cancellation
Cancellation of a confirmed booking must be made in writing, at least 30 days prior to
the event and acknowledged with a response. In this instance any monies paid will be
refunded in full minus the non refundable deposit.
If a booking is cancelled less than 30 days prior to the event, you will be liable for
the full balance of payment.
For large events, such as weddings, we strongly recommend clients take out relevant
insurance.
Delivery/Collection
Delivery/collection is free within a 3 mile radius of Mold, on orders of £50 or more.
All other deliveries will be charged at 50p per mile each way.
Delivery will be within a pre-arranged time-frame. Your delivery MUST be checked and
signed for. It is your responsibility to ensure that we can gain access to the venue and
that a designated person is present to check your order and sign to confirm that it is all
present and correct. If the items are signed for but not inspected it will be deemed that
your order is satisfactory.
We will NOT leave items if they are not signed for and you will still be liable for the
full costs.

7.Fresh Flowers
Every special occasion needs lovely flowers!
We have teamed up with award winning TV florist Sioned from Tulipa Flowers,
We can either put you in touch with Sioned, or if you prefer we can organise your flowers
Whatever the occasion..
If you prefer, you may personally collect/return your items from/to us.
In this instance you must accept full responsibility for the items from point of
collection and will be held responsible for any loss/damage that occurs whilst the items
are in your care.
Items must be collected in an appropriate vehicle and under no circumstances may they
be transported in an open trailer.
You must ensure that all items are adequately protected where necessary and that
breakable items, particularly china, are well packaged, using the packaging provided.
Packaging/Care of Items
China & fragile itemsOn delivery, you will receive your china and other fragile items well packaged.
Items should be unpacked with care and the packaging retained.
Following your event, we will wash your items for you. If it is necessary for you to
wash anything during the period of hire, please bear in mind that vintage china is
fragile and must be handled with care. On no account should any items be washed in a
dishwasher After the event, please empty cups, teapots and other receptacles and wipe off any
excess food from plates, dishes etc. before packing the items with the packaging provided
as per instructions, which will be included on delivery.
If it is deemed necessary for JGVC to repack all or part of the order due to improper
packaging, the client will be charged a repacking fee of 10% the total hire charge or
part thereof. Alternatively, we offer a repacking service and can repack the items
for you at a cost of 10% the total hire charge.
Props All props should be repackaged ready for collection using the packaging provided, as
advised at time of hire.
Linen & Bunting JGVC will launder all the table linen for you.
Table linen and bunting should be replaced in the containers provided, dry and folded.
Spillages do happen - in the event of bad spills, particularly red wine/tea, coffee,
please try to rinse in cold water and dry if possible. Vintage linen is very prone to
mildew when left damp. Crumbs and food waste should be shaken/scraped from tablecloths
before packing.
Bunting should be folded keeping the flags as flat as possible and free from any tangles.
Particular care should be taken with bunting that has been outside in the rain/dew obviously this can’t be avoided, but please let us know if bunting is wet or damp
so we can ensure it gets prompt attention when we unpack!

Loss/Damage
A £100 refundable damage deposit will be required with the payment of your balance.
This will be refunded, provided there is no damage or loss and all items are returned
to us in good condition, within 10 days of return. If this is paid in the form of a
cheque, it will not be banked and will be returned to you unless there is loss or damage.
In the event of loss or damage to our items, you will be notified as soon as possible
and the cost of said damage will be deducted at a rate of 4 times the items’ hire
charge (except in the case of ‘premium items’ which are clearly marked as such and
will incur an individual rate).
In the event of damage or loss exceeding £100, you will be invoiced accordingly.
Broken items should be retained and not disposed of so that we may identify them.
Table linen and bunting - any damage from cigarettes, candles, mildew or heavy staining
will be charged at the standard rate of 4x hire cost.

no responsibility for any accident, injury or damage caused to persons or
the use of our goods. Please bear in mind that many of our items are old
and as such may sometimes have sharp or rough edges or parts.

By making a confirmed booking you acknowledge that you have read and accepted these
