The Rocks Accessibility Map
This map provides information to access The Rocks. It shows nonaccessible pathways limited by stairs and steep grades and pathways
that have some limitations but are accessible with assistance. By
default all other pathways are generally accessible. The map also
shows where to find parking, toilets, lifts and services such as ATMs,
TTY telephones, taxis and bus stops.

Restrictions are created by the design of heritage buildings, paving
irregularities, narrow paths, steep ramp grades, stairs and the natural
elevated ridgeline between Millers Point and The Rocks.

North-south routes
All emergency services: TTY emergency calls:
• Circular Quay waterfront promenade, George Street, Harrington
__Street and Cumberland Street are generally on gentle grades with
__few limitations.
Telstra telephone assistance
East-west routes
• Naturally occurring steep grades along Grosvenor Street, Essex
__Street and Argyle Street linking Circular Quay to Millers Point
__and Observatory Hill present significant access limitations.
• Numerous pedestrian access ways between and through buildings
__are often complicated by ramps and steps.
Details of toilet and lift operational times are included so that our
visitors can plan their visits.
