Surf Life Saving Australia - Circular Title: BRP Powercraft Equipment Grant Document ID: 56/14-15 Department: Coastal Safety Audience: Clubs, support operation services, State & Territory centres Summary: Notification to clubs and services of the BRP equipment grant Bombardier Recreational Products (BRP) is the preferred powercraft supplier and national partner of SLSA providing Surf Life Saving (SLS) affiliated clubs and services with side-by-side all-terrain vehicles (ATVs), rescue water craft (RWC) and outboard motors (OM). The 2015 BRP Powercraft Equipment Grant is an initiative developed by BRP and SLSA to enable SLS affiliated clubs and services to purchase heavily subsidised equipment for lifesaving operations. The 2015 BRP powercraft Equipment Grant includes a total of $360K + GST worth of equipment. Grant application: SLS clubs and services seeking equipment from the grant are to submit an online application at: www.sls.com.au/BRPGRANT Applications open: Monday 19 January 2015 Applications close: Friday 20 February 2015 SLSA will notify all applicants on the status of their application by 6 March 2015. Payment Clubs/services will be invoiced for the remaining discounted amount directly by BRP by 6 March 2015. Payment is to be made to BRP by 16 March 2015. Terms and Conditions: Applications must be completed in full by the close date above; no late applications will be received. The successful applicants are selected by their respective SLS State/Territory centre and decisions are final. Clubs/services selected by their respective SLS State/Territory centre to receive a subsidised unit, but wish to withdraw their grant application must inform their State/Territory centre and SLSA prior to 16 March 2015. If BRP have not received payment by the 16 March 2015, BRP will inform SLSA and allocation will be passed onto another worthwhile applicant under consultation with the respective State/Territory Centre. 12 ATVs and up to 8 RWCs in the grant will be used for the Australian Surf Life Saving Championships (Aussies 2015) in Queensland (QLD) 2015. Successful applicants whose equipment is used at the event are responsible for the collection of equipment post event. Price includes pre-delivery costs and fitting to SLS specification. Prices do NOT include State/Territory specific registration fees - this is the responsibility of the club/service after collection of the equipment. Prices do NOT include freight to the local dealer or from Aussies 2015 (QLD). The successful applicant is responsible for freight to local dealer The successful applicants will be required to promote the grant through their club channels and may also be required for media that could be generated through the program. BRP equipment must be retained by the successful applicant for a minimum of 12 months. SLSA will provide the club/service details and the club/service contact details of the club/service representative completing the application form for the purposes of this grant only.
