Safety & Security: New security doors have been installed at
the front entrance requiring you to buzz the office in order to
gain access to the building. This new safety measure was
aided by the Herald PTO fundraisers. How it Works: When you
enter the first set of doors, there will be a button on the wall to
your right that when pressed will allow the office staff to see
and hear you on a monitor. You will only be able to enter once
the door is released by a school employee. This is for the safety
of our students and employees. NOTE: Students will not be able
to open the doors at anytime.

We are continuing to evaluate our safety procedures at Herald
Elementary. We want to provide as safe as a school
environment as possible. Starting January 20, 2015, parents
and anyone waiting to pick up students, will not be able to
wait inside the school. The security doors will be locked
until 3:30 P.M. Car riders and walkers will be dismissed at 3:05
P.M. to the car loop on the South side of the building. Please
utilize the car loop by remaining in your vehicle and you will
see how our staff on duty strive to make it a quick and smooth
procedure.
