*Xanana includes four Fretililin members in his new cabinet

Prime Minister Xanana Gusmao has included four members of the Fretilin party’s Central Committee in his new cabinet. The Fretilin Central Committee are Doctor
Ruai Maria Araujo, Estanislao da Silva, Hernanio Coelho and Inacio Moreira. Fretilin Secretary-General, Mari Alkatiri said these four Timorese citizens wanted to
contribute to the country’s development and were ready to work for the country’s people. Inacio Moreira, the current member of the Parliament said he thanked Prime
Minister Xanana Gusmao for including him in the new cabinet and said he was ready to contribute to the country’s development. “First of all I would like to thank the
prime minister. And I am feeling honored and I also thank my party for its supports,” he said. Mr. Moreira was appointed to become deputy minister for Public Work
in the new cabinet of Prime Minister Xanana Gusmao.
*Communities calls on new cabinet to prioritize national interests

A community member, Pedo da Concecao said the new cabinet of Prime Minister Xanana Gusmao had to improve living conditions of the country’s people either in
urban and rural areas. Mr. da Cocecao said the ongoing development had not yet really responded to the people of the country’s basic needs as in fact many of the
people still living in poverty. He added that basic infrastructure was the most important issue which the Government must pay attention to it optimally. “Those who are
going to be appointed for the new cabinet have to identify the people’s difficulties and try to improve the people’s lives,” he said.

President of the Republic, Taur Matan Ruak (TMR) said he had not yet received any official letter regarding Prime Minister Xanana Gusmao’s decision on making
reshuffle of his cabinet. TMR said he did not want to make comments on the issue of cabinet reshuffle as he had not yet received any official letter, but the most
important things was that the Government had to implement its programs in accordance with the budget allocation. “I cannot make any comments and orientate my
ideas into the reshuffle of cabinet as I have not received letter. I will make comments after receiving letter from the Government,” he said.
*President calls on communities in Lautem to contribute to development

President of the Republic, Taur Matan Ruak (TMR) has called on the communities of the eastern Municipal of Lautem to continue contributing to the country’s national
development. The president made the call during his one-week official visit in Lautem, Timor-Leste’s east. TMR also thanked the communities of Lautem for their high
participation in the dialog which was held by the office of the President. “I thanked the communities’ participation and contribution during my visit. So many concerns

*Farmers call for rehabilitation of irrigation in Tekinaumata

Farmers in Tekinaumata, the administrative post of Laga, the eastern municipal of Baucau have called on the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries to rehabilitate the
irrigation in the area. Tekinaumata head of village said this year many of the farmers had to leave their rice fields due to the irrigation was still damaged. A farmer
Jake Ximenes said they had submitted a proposal to MAP in 2013, asking for rehabilitation of the irrigation, but so far there had been no response yet.

According to INDEPENDENTE’s observation, started on Wednesday 28 until Thursday 29, Logistics Staffs has been moving Prime Minister Office equipments to
ADN room in with also at Governmental Palace. A confirmed source at Governmental Palace said according to the plan, Prime Minister Xanana Gusmao would

28 that CRM members would not cooperate until dead because the current justice system just defended the Government that suspected of full of corruption. “as

Timor-Leste’s Immigration Service has deported seven Chinese women who were found to have misused their social visit visas to work at numbers of bars and hotels
in the Capital of Dili. The Immigration Service officer said they had to send the seven Chinese women back to their country as they misused visas by engaging in
prostitution in the country. “We processed those Chinese women who were employed at Moon Bar in the court. The court made decision that these foreign nationals
must be deported as they breached the law,” he said.
