Wow.. Lots of info.. Took me a lot longer than I thought to try and put it all there…
If you are reading this far than you follow directions well and you deserve an award..
Here is my phone number 832-472-4453 my name is Rob Goyen. If you run into an
EMERGENCY call me.. Do not call me if you are stuck in line because you showed up 3 min
late.. etc etc..
I get the pleasure of being a race director for this race. The emotions that you feel getting
ready for this race are the same that I feel as well. I have worked for over a year on this race
planning, scheduling and aligning the best sponsors I can for you all.
For me this my opportunity to give back to trail running what it gave to me which is life. I am
grateful that you all choose to run our races when I know you have many choices. I consider
being a race director a Servants role and I look forward to serving you needs on race day. We
will do EVERYTHING in my power to ensure that you are well taken care of and shown
appreciation.
I WILL NOT TEAR DOWN our finish line or festivities until each and EVERY ONE OF YOU has
finished. I believe that the first runner to the last is equally important. Forbidding anything
mandatory I will be standing at the start/finish line for the entire race. I take pride in making
sure that you see me when you finish.
I meet many people all the time but that’s the part I love the most.. Make sure you all come
and say hi along the way.
We thank you all from the bottom of my hearts for making this event possible. Each and
every one of you will be a piece of art to the masterpiece that we will see. I cant wait!
