NOTEWORTHY VICTORY AT UCONN • UT’s 55-54 win in Storrs (Nov. 30) snapped a 44-game win streak by the Huskies against non-conference opponents at Gampel Pavilion. RECORD-SETTING DEFENSE • Texas limited Texas State (Dec. 13) to 27 points on 21.6% FG shooting (11-of-51). • The 27 points marked the fewest points Texas has allowed since Dec. 6, 1946 (53-23 home win against Houston YMCA). • It marked the first time UT had held an opponent below 30 points since Feb. 25, 1948 (32-29 home victory against Baylor). • UT held the Bobcats to just nine points on 16.0% FG shooting (4-of-25) in the first half. This marked the fewest points allowed in a half by the Longhorns since the start of the 1949-50 season (as far back as the school has box scores and • records in a half). The previous mark for fewest points allowed in a half was 10 (2nd half vs. Nicholls State on Dec. 13, 2011; 2nd half vs. Baylor on Jan. 21, 1984). The previous mark for fewest points allowed in a first half was 11 (vs. ArkansasMonticello on Nov. 18, 2007). The 21.6% FG shooting marked the third-lowest FG percentage allowed by UT in a game since the start of the 1949-50 season.
