Our family has been blessed by adoption. My older sister, Laura, was adopted by my parents at 3 months. She is no less my sibling than my biological brother, John. Like many younger sisters, I wanted to be just like her growing up, right down to her birth story. While my story of being brought home from the hospital seems much less exciting, I can also say I have been adopted. I am an adopted child of God. As the lyrics of this song say, “We have been redeemed and we can be called the Children of God.” This song sings praises to God for giving us life. I encourage you to check out the webpage, http://thirdday.com/adopted. The page includes Third Day’s music video for “Children of God” as well as resources on adoption. Check it out!
