You are cordially invited to the 2015 Strawberry Tea CWC’s traditional opening event for the year on Thursday February 12th at 5pm – 7pm at Kate Sheppard House and Garden 83 Clyde Road, Ilam (between University of Canterbury Arts Road and Creyke Road) Di Lucas, Landscape Architect, twice awarded New Zealand’s premier landscape planning award, will talk on – Our Garden City - Its Future? Christchurch City is currently in transition and people are engaged in visioning the future of this place. City planners and gardeners are integrating their backgrounds and assumptions with the new challenges that are raised by our waters, indigenous flora and wildlife, to provide new expressions of identity and heritage in our post-quake city. We are hoping that it might be possible for a member of the CCC Urban Design team to respond to Di’s talk prior to any questions from the floor.
