South Hills High School Event Regulations South Hills High School students and their guests are expected to adhere to the following regulations. Failure to do so could result in removal from the event with no refund for the cost of the event. South Hills’ students may face additional disciplinary consequences as outlined in the District Discipline Guidelines. All dance participants, SHHS students and their guests, must abide by these regulations: 1. Provide a photo I.D. upon entering the event; guest to provide same I.D. used in the photocopy provided with their Dance Guest Pass Application 2. Be subject to search 3. Follow school rules 4. Respect and follow all directions given by chaperones and security personnel 5. Comply with the dress standards identified on the SHHS student’s Event Clearance Form 6. Comply with Dance Floor Rules as outlined on the SHHS student’s Event Clearance Form 7. Possess no tobacco 8. Possess no alcohol or be under the influence of alcohol 9. Possess no drugs or be under the influence of drugs 10. Exit supervised event area with a chaperone if you wish to return to the event; students leaving the supervised event area without a chaperone may not return to the event Sadie Hawkins Information Note: Middle school students are not permitted to attend SHHS dances South Hills High School Students and their guests will be required to show photo ID at the entrance of Knott's Berry Farm to be admitted to this activity. Dance Clear Sadie Hawkins.doc 1/2015 Event information: The activity will be at Knott's Berry Farm, Boardwalk Ballroom, from 8:00 pm to midnight on Saturday, March 7, 2015. From 8:00-10:00 p.m., we have access to the entire park with the general public. The Boardwalk Ballroom will be available for dancing, and the Sweet Indulgence Dessert Menu will be offered (cookies, cakes, ice Cream, chocolate fountain, punch, soft drinks). From 10:00 p.m.-12:00 a.m., when the park is closed to the general public, SHHS students and their guests will still be able to ride on Supreme Scream, Coast Rider, Log Ride, Wipeout and Boomerang. The cost for parking is not included in the price of the ticket. On site parking for regular vehicles is $15. Oversized vehicles (RV's, Limos and buses) are $20. Tickets go on sale Monday, January 26, 2015 in the ASB office. A completed Event Clearance Form, Guest Pass and Permission Form are required to purchase tickets. Tickets are sold per person (not per couple) with a starting price of $50 w/ASB card & $55 without for So. Hills students, & $60 for guests. Ticket prices rise every other week capping at $65 the week before the dance for So. Hills students, & $70 for guests. Last day to purchase tickets is Feb. 27, no exceptions, tickets are non-refundable or transferrable. Actual tickets and wristbands will be distributed at the entrance of Knott’s Berry Farm beginning at 7:30 p.m. Students may enter the park at 8:00 p.m. Deadline for completing Event Clearance Forms for Sadie Hawkins is 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday, March 4th. Sat. Schools must be completed, and verification submitted to the Dean's Office on or before the deadline, no exceptions. Know what you owe -check with the Dean's Office. Scheduled Saturday school dates available for clearing: 1/31, 2/7, 2/21, 2/28. Sadie Hawkins Dress Standards: Sadie Hawkins is a casual activity. SHHS dress code applies to SHHS students and their guests. Couples often wear matching tops to Sadies, but this is not a requirement. Students not meeting dress code standards will not be admitted. Students altering their dress so that it does not meet school dress code during the event may be removed from the activity. Students may not wear costumes nor bring props to the event. Dance Floor Rules: The following dance styles have been determined to be inappropriate for high school dances/activities and are not allowed: Break Dancing, Challenge Dancing, Freaking, Lap Dancing and any dancing that chaperones/security personnel determine to be inappropriately provocative. Students who refuse to comply with these guidelines are subject to disciplinary action including being asked to leave the dance, loss of future dance attendance privileges, and suspension from school for defiance of authority. Students removed from the dance for discipline reasons will not receive a refund. Students who are not admitted or are removed from Sadies for dress code or behavior/dancing violations are not eligible for a refund and may also lose eligibility for Prom attendance.
