THE MASTER’S MESSAGE Brethren, How many of you are in a state of constant fighting in your lives? How many of you have confrontational employees or bosses? Myself being in the military, having been deployed overseas, hearing about different ethnic groups fighting each other, and even families at war amongst themselves were second to none. This is where YOU, as a member of our great fraternity can turn to our teachings and refer to these words, “Behold how good and pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity.” These few words spoken by our chaplain in the first degree illustrate our basic culture and should be projected within our lodge. Our lodge is intended to be a place where we can find peace and rest from a world of conflict. It allows us as brothers to live in harmony with each other. This doesn’t mean that we will always agree with one another or that there will never be squabbles, but that by living our Masonic values and following the teachings of the benefits of brotherly love, our lodge can be a place of acceptance and equality; of harmony and maturity. It is a place where we will always be accepted - even if we make mistakes. This is something we need to be practicing in our lodge. If we accomplish this, we will indeed change the way we believe. If we live what we believe, we can change the world. Live your life with action, and don’t wait for positive change to happen: MAKE IT HAPPEN!! Make the culture of this lodge one that will make a difference in your life and your brothers’. Fraternally, “Seek the Horizon” Jason F.
