The competition will be timed automatically timed. ( FinishLynx )
USATF Rules (False Starts) and IAAF Multi-Event scoring tables will be used.
Athlete check in will take place 1 ½ hour prior to the start of the event.
The athlete must attempt each event (start), or be disqualified from the entire competition.
No points will be awarded if an athlete fails to complete an event, although he/she will be allowed to continue in the
competition.
Three attempts will be given to each athlete in the Long Jump, Shot Put, Javelin and Discus. Three attempts per
height will be given in the High Jump and Pole Vault. (until the athlete has 3 consecutive misses)
Field Events Competitions: High Jump will take place in two pits, Pole Vault will take place in two pits
Check the time schedule and the start list to confirm your individual starting time. We will start the meet on time,
and run on a rolling time schedule with a minimum of 30 minutes from event to event.
Implement certification will be Thursday from 8:00am -12:00pm
Awards will be presented immediately following the conclusion of each competition.
Please THANK the judges at each event. They are volunteering their time, and your cooperation and consideration
are vital.
Results will be made available within a reasonable time following the competition at www.apu.edu/athletics.

The fields for both the Decathlon and the Heptathlon will be divided up into three groups. All of which will have
different starting times. Please see the enclosed time schedule for tentative starting times. Groups will be set by April 6
please check the website to confirm your group and starting times. On Tuesday April 14, start lists, heats and flights will
be posted at the stadium for your convenience. THANK YOU in advance for your entries.

The track and field complex at Azusa Pacific University was designed with the multi-events in mind. It is complete with
two sets of runways, pits and rings for the field events, and we also have the option to change directions according to the
wind.
