Program Description: This course focuses on developing the skills necessary for graphic design. These skills include
understanding the design brief, idea generation and development, and refinement and presentation. Projects may
include logo design, pamphlets, CD covers, posters and magazine layouts. Computer programs used include
Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign. Students will attend four full day workshops at Tea Tree Gully TAFE where they
will learn skills in digital photography for design.

Program Description: This program introduces you to the world of 3D modelling, visual effects and video games. 3D
imagery/model is created and/or manipulated and integrated with 3D models/photography. This course guides you
through the entire analytical and technical process of creating 3D images using the current industry standard
applications. The integration of computer-generated imagery (CGI) allows you to create realistic environments that
would be dangerous, costly, or simply impossible to create using traditional special effect techniques. Learning the
animation principles and animating a short scene is the final component of this course.

Program Description: This course has black and white film and digital components. It aims to provide skills and
knowledge in the use of a single lens reflex camera, film processing and printing techniques including a range of
advanced printing processes and creative approaches. During the last half of the course students are introduced to the
basics of studio lighting, digital metering, digital photography, file uploading, management and print output. Students

Pathway: This Certificate II course is offered as part of the Film, Television and Multimedia national training package.
There is some cross‐over into the Live Production and Theatre Events (Entertainment) training package. On
completion of this course students are well positioned to undertake an Advanced Diploma in Screen Media.
Program Description: Students will learn about recording video and audio in a variety of locations using contemporary
digital equipment. Students will record live events such as sports, assemblies, concerts and performances. They will
also shoot interviews for documentary formats, live bands for music clips and creative cinematography for narrative
films. Students will also learn to edit, use special effects and publish their work using professional software.

Program Description: This course offers a very practical approach to developing knowledge, skills and appreciation of

Pathway: This qualification provides students with the skills and knowledge that reflect the role of entry level
employees within the hospitality industry. Successful completion of the course will allow a student to confidently
apply for a position or traineeship in food and beverage (non-alcohol unless 18 years old) service within the hospitality
industry. Further study and work in this area could see students progress onto Certificate lll and IV in Hospitality
Operations, a diploma of Hospitality Management, Advanced Diploma and then a Bachelor of Business (Hospitality).
Students may wish to diversify into Kitchen Operations.
Program Description: This course offers students the opportunity to develop their knowledge about the hospitality
industry with a focus on food and beverage service. Students apply theory and their developing skills through a range
of practical experiences including how to make coffee using commercial equipment, mix non-alcoholic beverages, set
tables, serve food and operate point of sale equipment. There is a strong focus on the importance of communication

Pathway: This qualification reflects the role and responsibilities of an entry-level employee within the automotive
industry. The qualification is recognised nationally and consists of a number of competencies generic to a number of
auto trades. The Certificate I allows students an exit pathway after 1 year, or can continue onto the Certificate II in
Automotive Vehicle Servicing the following year. Students who complete the Full Certificate I will be able to gain the
Full Certificate II in Automotive Vehicle Servicing the following year.
Program Description: Delivery will take place in the new Trade Training Centre and is hands-on to maximise student
engagement and retention. The course will expose students to the skills and knowledge required to work within the
industry, through working on cars, diesel and petrol engines.
