Touching Lives through Christ by Reaching Out, Bringing In, Lifting Up, Sending Forth
FEBRUARY 15, 2015
T RANSFIGURATION SUNDAY
The Transfiguration is one of the miracles of Jesus in the Gospels.
This miracle is unique among others that appear in the Canonical
gospels, in that the miracle happens to Jesus himself.

God, open our eyes to experience your glory. Make us like Peter, James, and John,

*Benediction
Pastor – It is not enough to visit the mountain, or even to see Christ transfigured
with dazzling clothes.
People – Such moments remain a secret and a mystery if they are not shared.
We shall go now in the love of God to bring light to a world that dwells
yet in the shadows.
Pastor – Go, now, with the peace of God, to bring a vision of joy and hope to those
who have lost their way. Amen.

Lenten Service for 2015
Day of Volunteerism on Feb 28 (Sat 1 p.m.–4 p.m.)
Acts 20:35 tells us, “In all things I have shown you that by working hard in this way we
must help the weak and remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he himself
said, ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’” On February 28, 2015, all 59
churches of the Chattanooga District will be partnering together in acts of service.
From 1:00-4:00 p.m. we will show Christ’s love to our district by giving back. Please
prayerfully consider signing-up to serve at a location. If you cannot sign-up, please
encourage others to do so. You can sign-up for any participating location by going to
