STRATEGIC PLAN 2015 - 2017 Core Business: As a membership organisation, AMA Queensland provides dedicated and ongoing professional representation through support, leadership, promotion and advocacy for the advancement of the medical profession at all stages of their career Mission/purpose: We exist to provide dedicated and ongoing professional representation to our members through support, leadership, promotion and advocacy to advance the medical profession at all stages of their career and in doing so strengthen the health system for the benefit of all Queenslanders Vision: AMA Queensland is the peak representative association of medical professionals incorporating strong commercial partnerships and with a united substantial and significant membership that is highly respected by internal and external stakeholders. Member Engagement  To connect with and engage members and non-members through our unique points of difference:  To provide members with a place to associate  To have clear and concise engagement message for each member segment setting out the value of their AMAQ membership  To identify and engage / cultivate / nurture brand ambassadors to drive AMA projects and initiatives and support service delivery  To give members a genuine sense of pride in being a member of AMAQ 2. Awareness & Advocacy  To raise awareness of the AMAQ Health Vision in the minds of members, the community and government and create a sense of urgency for government and the community to act on these issues  To increase awareness of AMAQ messages and services to our members and nonmembers  As a result of improved member engagement, that members take a greater role in informing and shaping key policy and advocacy issues to Government and other stakeholders  To give our members a voice to government, community and other stakeholders through their AMAQ membership 3. Education / Information / Resources  To provide trusted, up to date and relevant educational material, information, resources and advice to:  Members  Community  Stakeholders  To provide flexible, convenient and contemporary delivery options 4. Building Capacity  To build capacity for success by growing and efficiently utilising our AMAQ workforce and financial resources to ensure that AMAQ continues to meet its goals  Undertake a continual review of our operational processes and procedures to be effective and efficient and to ensure our focus is on our core business
