Understanding Engineering in Europe
Summer A: May 11 - June 19, 2015
About the Program
The purpose of this program is threefold.
You will: 1) be introduced to various
industries in Germany with the
engineering and energy use highlighted;
2) learn cultural and historical
information about Germany and
the European Union;
3) learn how to design experiments,
analyze data, and formulate statistical
relationships on the data.
Learn about Engineering Technologies in the Vicinity
of Osnabrück.
Understand Engineering in Europe.
Experience German Culture.
Travel and Stay in Major European Cities.
You will also get the chance to climb a
100 meter tall wind generator tower!
About the Location
Osnabrück is located in Lower Saxony
in Northwestern Germany.
The peace agreement between
Protestants and Catholics that helped
end the 30 Years’ War was brokered here,
earning it the nickname, “City of Peace.”

Excursions
Weekend trips to Berlin, Brussels,
and Amsterdam.

2015 Pricing
Undergraduate Program Fee:
$2,782 + UF tuition based on
residency
Students will receive two different
invoices, one from UFIC (program
fees) and one from University
Financial Services (UF tuition)
A $300 nonrefundable deposit
toward the total cost of the
program is due at the time of
application. The remaining
fees are due no later than 45
days prior to departure.
If you receive financial aid,
you can defer payment until it
disburses. Deferment
decisions will be based on the
amount of aid to be received.
What’s Included:
Housing, local transportation,
international health insurance,
and emergency medical
assistance.
What’s Not Included:
Round-trip airfare,
additional personal travel,
and personal expenses.
Scholarships
UFIC offers summer
scholarships for qualified
students. This year’s summer
scholarship deadline is
February 13, 2015
