, in conjunction with City of Birmingham Mayor’s Office Division of Youth Services Avoiding Drinking & Driving During Prom Season DRY ROADS is an essay contest to promote awareness of the devastation that can result from drinking & driving, th th especially for teens on prom night. Open to all 11 & 12 grade Birmingham City School students, the contest is aimed at reducing the number of student accidents, injuries and deaths as a result of drinking and driving on prom night in our community. DRY ROADS seeks to start the conversation amongst prom goers and their parents in a creative and exciting way. Essay contest winners and their guests will experience chauffeur driven luxury transportation to-and-from the prom courtesy of Prideline Transportation. Winners and their guests will also receive an all-expense-paid dinner courtesy of The Harbert Center. CONTEST RULES: 1. Entries must be hand-delivered by the student to the City of Birmingham Mayor’s Office Division of Youth Services. 2. Entries must be submitted by 4:30PM CST on Friday, February 20, 2015. 3. Contest judging will be conducted by an independent review panel.
