Seguin Economic Development Corporation -+ DR Horton will introduce its Express Homes Fire hydrants signal progress at The Meadows at brand in its latest Seguin development. Nolte Farms. Blending the unique sounds of folk and blues, Harp Jensen has achieved national acclaim over the past year. A 1,000+ rooftops Developers scurry to meet growing demand for housing in Seguin Ramping up development after 5+ years of a lackluster housing market doesn't happen overnight. In Seguin, Texas, where employment growth continued and unemployment stayed well below state and national averages despite hard times elsewhere, new housing can't get here fast enough. Fortunately, deals have been in the works and recent progress has moved them even closer to actual construction. On Seguin's southeast side along State Highway 123, streets are going in for DR Horton's new development, The Meadows at Nolte Farms. With a neighborhood park and close proximity to schools and shopping, the 382-home neighborhood is expected to appeal to young families and meet an under-served price-point for first-time homebuyers. For the first time in this area, DR Horton plans to introduce two "brands," building both DR Horton and Express Homes in the Meadows at Nolte Farms neighborhood. Each brand will have its own model home and multiple floor plans. While Seguin locations have not shown up on the DR Horton and Express Homes websites, Britney Jones, who markets DR Horton neighborhoods in nearby communities and soon in Seguin, said a list of interested home buyers has formed in anticipation of the grand opening. Across town, developers of Greenspoint received City Council approval for their master development plan, which will bring approximately 400 homes and additional retail along the State Highway 46 corridor near Farm to Market Road 78 and Rudeloff Road. Greenspoint plans higher-end housing on larger lots, developers said. Approval for the development plan, which includes a critical thoroughfare through the neighborhood, was seen as a key hurdle for moving the project forward. Just up SH 46, the Mill Creek subdivision of Perry Homes, is moving into its 11th phase with new homes going up one after the other toward its eventual build-out of 400 homes. In The Summit , construction steadily moves toward its maximum of 188 higher-end spec and custom homes, with the addition of an additional 23 lots opening up this year. In the same general area, plans are apparently in the works for an additional 500 homes. Stay tuned!
