Enhanced Enterprise Git Management
With TeamForge 8.0, development teams can use Git, Subversion or both without sacrificing
performance, governance, or code quality. TeamForge 8.0 roles govern access to all the tools used in the
development process, including Git and Subversion. Role-based access to Git can now be granted sitewide across all repositories within TeamForge, all repositories within project-hierarchies, all repositories
within a project, and all branches within a repository. User permissions can also be confined to a specific
branch. This comprehensive control extends from all users inside the enterprise to guests and even
anonymous users. CollabNet’s unique history protection technology ensures that no data is ever lost or
tampered with.
Advanced Reporting and Data Analytics
TeamForge 8.0 introduces a whole new way of creating, managing, and embedding saved reports in
project dashboards. The all-new Unified Reporting combines modern dashboard capabilities with

TeamForge 8.0 unlocks traceability across the entire tool chain, expanding its reach to include most
lifecycle point tools and infrastructure. A highly extensible platform with additional capabilities to now
allow capture of events from any tool in the customers’ tool-chain, TeamForge brings true cross-tool
traceability by including lifecycle data from CI/builds, code reviews, work item trackers, deployments,
binary artifacts, and more. A new activity reporting API enables users to bring lifecycle traceability and
activity associations to life.
Binary Repository Management
TeamForge 8.0 offers new binary repository management via out-of-the-box comprehensive integration
with Nexus. It enables accelerated and smooth advancement of applications through the lifecycle stages development, testing, build and test.
TeamForge extends lifecycle management to binary artifacts and delivers to customers even more
complete traceability across the entire tool chain. TeamForge 8.0 can seamlessly manage multiple binary
repository instances within the TeamForge project context. Access to Nexus repositories is controlled by
TeamForge roles and credentials and enforces consistency of job-appropriate access privileges
throughout the entire application lifecycle, across heterogeneous tools, teams, and processes.

Test Management
Through integration with TestLink, a widely adopted open source test management tool, TeamForge 8.0
adds a capability to create test case trackers and associate them with requirements. Customers of
TestLink can use TeamForge trackers to seamlessly manage test cases, execute them, and to tie them to
builds. After the tests execution, the stored test results can be clearly and easily traced back to
requirements in the backlog.
