Elks National Foundation is offering the 2015 Most Valuable Student Scholarship
based on scholarship, leadership and financial need to high school seniors. The
selection of winners begins at the local Lodge level and continues through district, state

New York State Elks Association is offering a scholarship award to a senior who is the
child or grandchild of an Elk member in good standing. The application for this
scholarship is identical to the Most Valuable Student application except for the cover
sheet available online at http://nyselks.org/. You can download and complete your
application online. Stop by the Guidance Office. The Legacy Award is an on-line
application for children or grandchildren of current member of the Elks. It is available

The AXA Achievement Scholarship program is offering college scholarships of
$10,000 and $25,000 to one high school senior in every state who has demonstrated
outstanding achievement in their activities in school, the community or the workplace.
Applicants must be ambitious and motivated, and must be determined to set and reach
goals. Apply early! Only the first 10,000 applications will be accepted. For more

The New York State PTA Jenkins Memorial Scholarship is available to high school
seniors pursuing a degree in education. Applications are available in the Guidance
Office, and must be postmarked by December 15th.
AFSCME Family Scholarship Program provides at least 13 scholarships of $2,000 each
that are renewed for a maximum of four years. CSEA/AFSCME members' children (or
whose legal guardian is an active CSEA/AFSCME member), and who are high school

GE-Reagan Foundation Scholarship Program is a national program that awards
scholarships to those high school seniors who embody the characteristics of President
Ronald Regan at school, in the community, in the workplace, and at home. Students
who demonstrate exemplary leadership, drive, integrity and citizenship should apply

The New York State Organization of the Daughters of the American Revolution is
offering several scholarships to high school seniors planning to acquire a higher
education in a four-year college or university. The expected amount of the award
varies and is spread out over four years. Application deadline is to sponsoring chapter.
The National Society DAR also offers various scholarships in the field of American
History, Political Science, Historic Preservation and Medical. Information on these

TCT Federal Credit Union is offering local high school students entering college in the
fall of 2015 a chance to win a scholarship to help finance their education. Students
must be college-bound high school seniors and members of a participating New York
Credit Union. Applicants will be judged based upon their academic achievements,
extracurricular and community activities and the quality of a written essay.
Applications can be picked up at your local branch office or the Guidance Office.
Upper Hudson River QDMA (Quality Deer Management Assoc.) is offering up to 2
$500 scholarships. The applicant will be familiar with the ideals of Quality Deer
Management and will be pursuing a degree in a field of study that would contribute to
the enhancement of the organization. Preference will be given to students studying the
Environmental or Agricultural Sciences. Applications are available in the Guidance

AXA Achievement Community Scholarship program offers $2,500 college
scholarships to high school seniors who have demonstrated outstanding achievement in

The New York Water Environment Association (NYWEA) is offering six awards of
$2,000 and a major NYWEA 4-year scholarship worth a total of $10,000 for a student
enrolling in a BS or BE program with a focus on environmental issues. Two $2,000
scholarships will be awarded to children of NYWEA members, two to a student
enrolled at a college or university where there is a NYWEA student chapter, and two to
senior students who are enrolling in an environmentally related program at a four year
college or university. Applications for both scholarships are available in Guidance.
The New York Rural Water Association Founder's Scholarship is available in the
amount of $500 to one senior to defray the cost of tuition, books or room and board at
an accredited institution. Recipients will be selected on the basis of commitment and
leadership responsibilities in community and school activities, academics, career goals,
financial need and a brief written essay on your goals as they relate to your education,
career and future plans. Priority will be given, but not limited to, water-related studies.
Buick Achievers Scholarship Program wishes to recognize community-minded
students. This year they will award 50 renewable scholarships of up to $25,000 per
year. If you are a graduating senior planning to major in a field of study related to
science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) with an interest in the
automotive or related industry, and plan to enroll at a 4-year college or university this

Soroptimist International is seeking a young woman between the ages of 14 and 17 for

Phi Delta Kappa International Future Educator Scholarship is available to high school
seniors who plan to major in education. More information is available in the Guidance
Office.
The Down Syndrome Aim High Scholarship encourages students to further their
education with the goal of working with and for individuals with Down Syndrome in
the future. To apply for this $1,900 scholarship, applicant must be a graduating senior
pursuing a career field in Special Education or Speech, Physical or Occupational
Therapy or a related field. Applications available in the Guidance Office.
The AD Club of Albany is offering up to $3,400 to seniors who will be attending a
Capital Region college (includes Bennington and Berkshire counties) in the Fall. The
recipient must be enrolled full-time with a registered major in communications,
marketing, advertising, graphic arts, public relations, journalism, electronic media or
other communications-related field. More information is available in the Guidance
Office.
The Gene Robb Journalism Scholarship is offering up to $4,000 to seniors planning to
attend a four-year college. Student must have a clearly demonstrated interest in
journalism and provide samples of journalistic work. Applications are available in the
Guidance Office.
The Knights of Columbus has scholarships available to students who are members in
good standing, or the son or daughter of such a member or a deceased member.

Adirondack Paralegal Association is offering one high school senior in Warren,
Washington or Saratoga County a $500 scholarship. Applicants must be planning to
pursue post-graduation educational opportunities in a vocational or academic program.
Applicants will be judged on community service, extra-curricular activities, academic
achievement, financial need and personal goals.

FASNY– Fireman’s Association of the State of NY has announced that they will be
awarding fifteen $1,500 scholarships to high school seniors entering college in the Fall
2015. Applicant or the applicant’s parent/legal guardian must be a member in good
standing with FASNY, and applicant must be a current member in a volunteer fire

Farrell, Jr. Scholarship is offering two awards of $500 to be paid directly to the
student. The students must be enrolled in an environmental related curriculum (such

American Society of Civil Engineers is offering a scholarship opportunity to seniors
continuing their education with the goal and desire to become a civil
engineer. Recipient must be enrolled in an educational institution majoring in a
curriculum leading to a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering. This year
they are offering a 4-year, $1,000 per year scholarship. Applications are available in
the Guidance Office.
American Medical Technologists is offering support for high school seniors or
graduates to pursue studies in a discipline certified by the sponsor (medical
technologist, medical assistant, medical administrative specialist, dental assistant,
medical laboratory technician, phlebotomy technician, or medical laboratory
assistant). Five $500 scholarships are available to those students who demonstrate

The Hudson Mohawk Road Runners Club is offering the Bill Shrader Sr. Memorial
Scholarship program. The purpose of the program is to encourage and support young
runners in their efforts to make running a lifelong part of a healthy life style. $3,000
non-renewable scholarships will be awarded to outstanding student runners planning to
attend college. Applications available in the Guidance Office.
Glens Falls Community Theatre is offering two $1,000 scholarships to high school
seniors who have been accepted by a college or university pursuing a degree in music,
music education, drama, dance or technical theater. Each applicant will be required to
audition for and be interviewed by a panel of judges. Applications are in the Guidance
Office.
Hudson River Community Credit Union is offering local high school students entering
college in the Fall of 2015 a chance to win a scholarship to help finance their
education. Students must be college-bound high school seniors and members of
HRCCU. Applicants who have completed 40+ hours of community service in the last
12 months are eligible to apply for the Making Life Better Scholarship also being
offered. Applications can be picked up at your local branch office or visit

The Esther Schlansker Memorial Scholarship is awarding one scholarship in the amount of
$800 to a graduating senior who has shown growth and improvement academically during
high school, has demonstrated care and respect for others, and has demonstrated a desire to
use his/her skills to make for a better humane and caring world. This award is intended to

Builders and Remodelers’ Association of Northern New York (BRANNY) is offering
$500 scholarships to assist students who are pursuing Construction Education at a two
or four-year college or university, or to purchase tools for employment in
construction. Students must have a GPA of 85 or higher. The winners of this award are
encouraged to also apply for a matching scholarship from the New York State Builders
Association. Students may reapply each year during college for the opportunity of a

women dedicated to working together to advance the status of women
worldwide. Scholarship is available to both males and females, and is sponsored by the
local Zonta Club. The scholarship application is available in the guidance office or it

The Fort Edward Historical Association has announced the Annual Student Art Show
and Senior Scholarship Competition. Over $2,500 in prizes will be awarded to seven
deserving students. Student must be accepted into a College of Fine Arts Program. The
artwork will be on exhibit to the public on Sunday, May 4th and Monday, May 5th. A
closing reception will be held on Wednesday, May 7th. Entry forms are available from

children of CSEA employees. Three $1,000 scholarships will be awarded in each

Adirondack School Counseling Association will be providing a $1,000 scholarship to a
senior planning to attend a 4-year college or university, who will study human services,
sociology or psychology. Student must have a record of serving others in a
humanitarian way. Applications are available in the Guidance Office.
The Helpers Fund Scholarship Program:
1. The Helpers Award Scholarship is for a senior who plans to continue their
education in a skill area which might lead to a certification or licensing by NY
State in a particular area of study.
2. The JSP Science Scholarship will be awarded to a graduating senior who is
going to a college or university to pursue a major in a Science related field.
This scholarship award is for one year. More information and applications
available in the Guidance Office.
The Kay L. Ross Celebration of Life Scholarship is awarding one non-renewable
scholarship in the amount of $1,000 to be payable to both the student and the selected 2
or 4 year school. This award is intended to help a student entering a 2 or 4 year
program of study. Applications are available in the Guidance Office.
The Center For Donation & Transplant is offering the Amy Bindelglass Memorial
Scholarship Essay Contest to help raise awareness of organ and tissue donation. The
memorial scholarship will award $500 as first prize and $200 as second prize to a high
school junior or senior. Applications are available in the Guidance Office.
The Adirondack Booster Club will award the Les Dennis Memorial Scholarship in the
amount of $500 each to two senior students in the Adirondack region. Applications
and accompanying essay describing what “community service” means to you, must be
received by the Adirondack Booster club no later than the due date. Applications are
available in the Guidance Office.
The Chestertown Rotary Scholarship Fund has announced the 2014 scholarship in the
amount of $3,000. This scholarship is open to any North Warren graduate, senior, those
being home schooled, or those attending an alternative secondary school such as
BOCES. All candidates must reside in the North Warren School District. There is no
required GPA for this scholarship. Applications are available in the Guidance Office.
The Robert Eagan Jr. Memorial Scholarship is awarding one scholarship in the amount
of $700 to a graduating senior who shares Bob's interests which include a love of the
outdoors, government related issues, and hospitality. This award is intended to help a
student entering a two or four year program of study. Applications are available in the
Guidance Office.
Adirondack Marathon Distance Festival Scholarship Fund has announced a $2,000
scholarship award given in the memory of Michael W. Terrio available to North
Warren graduating seniors who plans to attend either a 2 or 4 year accredited college in
the fall of 2015. Applicant must be pursuing an education in the field of culinary arts,
restaurant management, medicine, science, medical research or environmental science.
Student must provide transcript, two letters of recommendation, an autobiography, and
an essay describing how volunteer work has impacted your life and how it will affect
your future plans to serve others.
The Ellie Shaw Zonta Award – offered by the Zonta Club of Glens Falls. This
scholarship is awarded to a female graduating high school senior or returning adult
planning to continue their education in the fall residing in Warren, Washington, or
northern Saratoga County. Student must demonstrate financial need, academic success,
and school and community involvement. Applications are available in the Guidance
Office.

Tri-Lakes Business Alliance is offering a $500 scholarship to a high school senior who
lives in the towns of Chester or Horicon, has demonstrated active community
involvement in the North Warren area, shows a willingness to continue their active
community involvement, and has demonstrated financial need. The selected student
must attend a two or four year college or university in the Fall. Applications are
available in the Guidance Office.
North Warren Teachers Association is offering a $500 scholarship to graduating North
Warren seniors who are pursuing post-secondary college degrees. To qualify for this
scholarship, the senior must have been accepted to an accredited two or four year
college, have a GPA of at least 85, obtain the required recommendations from NWTA
members, and write a written essay. Applications are available in the Guidance Office.
North Warren Chamber of Commerce is offering two $500 scholarship awards to
qualifying seniors. The Chamber is an association of the businesses in our area with a
goal of a healthy local economy. These awards are offered to students who will be
furthering their education after graduation, and plan to contribute to the community in
some way. Applications are available in the Guidance Office.

Glens Falls Contractors Association is offering scholarship grants to be awarded to
qualified graduates entering a two, four or five year curriculum related to the
construction industry, including fields of study such as architecture, mechanical, civil
