Adcock is the Chief Health Officer at SAS Institute in Cary and a House member in the North Carolina General Assembly. She has been a nurse practitioner for more than 25 years, and during that time has been a driving force for nurses. A leader in her profession, Gale has also served as Chair of the North Carolina Center for Nursing and is adjunct faculty at Duke University, the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and East Carolina University.
