The Easter lily is the symbol of the resurrection. With its trumpet shape, it sounds
out the Good News of Jesus’ resurrection on
Easter morning. Help us decorate our altar
this year by making a donation of $13.00 We
will have lilies delivered to the church and
then you may take one home with you after
the Easter morning worship service.
Simply write a check for $13.00 and
mark it for “Easter Lily”. Put your check in the
offering plate or leave it in the church office.

Helping Hands is a community betterment program using volunteer labor to substantially reduce the cost of
home repairs for qualified homeowner families. There is
no charge for volunteer labor and no profit is added.
The homeowner pays only for purchased materials, service and project support costs through a no interest
loan.
Volunteers from the community will work side-by-side
with the homeowners in repairing the house. If you
need a Helping Hand or would like to be a work volunteer, find out more at
www.heartofiowahabitat.org or email director@heartofiowahabitat.org.

Missionaries, Brad and Kim Campbell to visit us again on March 22
Last year, we met Brad and Kim Campbell (Jackie Wicks’ niece) who are missionaries in
South Sudan. We heard their harrowing story of Christmas day 2013 when they were thrust
into the war in South Sudan. They led their kids for three miles through active battlefields to
reach safety at the UN compound.
Their story continues as they
have begun to rebuild. In 2015,
they hope to acquire land and
establish a permanent base – including a church, a school, and
homes for children, staff and
guests.
On Sunday, March 22nd, Brad
and Kim will return to our church
service and share more of their
story with us. They have asked if
we could help support them
again by donating any of the
following items: (Bring to the
church by March 22nd)
Flip flops (small, medium & large)
Boys’ size boxers (small, medium & large)
Girls’ underwear (size 3/4, 5/6)
Women’s underwear (small and medium)
Monetary donations

Keeping Our Church History
As church historian I keep a
scrapbook for both the church
and for UMW. If anyone has
pictures from (Sunday school
programs, graduations, new
members etc.) or other items
that should be included in the
history of the church or UMW
and are willing to donate them,
I would love to include them in
the scrapbooks. Thanks,
Mary Kay Hamilton
