Efficiency of the mechanical briquetting machine is up to 700 kg/h. It is influenced by the following factors: a.type of the input material: - sawdust 500-700kg/h (fireplace briquette, industrial briquette), - straw 300-500kg/h (the best is gray rapeseed straw, without impurities, such as sand, stones, metals), b.humidity of the input material from 12 to 16 %, c.fragmentation: sawdust or wood shavings, straw after fragmentation: length – to 12 mm, disunited straw stalks. Briquetting presses are characterized by a very good quotient of used energy to efficiency of the device. While constructing the presses, we used almost 30 years of experience of our company, in construction of machines with hydraulic drive. Structures have been designed with the use of computer-aided design systems. 3D models of the devices have been tested for strength, using the software MES, by Institute of Mechanical Engineering and Machine Building at Wroclaw University of Technology. To improve reliability and speed of the devices, we passed on the use of mechanical gears and instead implemented maintenance-free hydraulic motor. All presses are equipped with air oil cooler, filters with impurity sensors, electronic measurement of working liquid’s temperature and electronic liquid level indicator. Principle of operation Raw material from the hopper is popped into press chamber via high-speed screw drive. In the press chamber, crushing and formation of the briquette take place. Press chamber moves to the polar position and briquette is removed from it, by a pusher in the next working move. Principle of operation Dried material, via raw material feeder combined with dosing screw conveyor, through dryer’s loading linker, gets to the drying drum, where the actual process of drying the material is happening.
