ALL AMERICAN LODGE
Message from your
Exalted Ruler
It is March 2015 and we have a busy
month ahead, we have the BLOE Fashion Show, Reverse Raffle, BLOE Officers Installation, BPOE Officers Installation, First Responders'/Members Appreciation day, along with Veterans
Wednesday Night Dinner, Tuesday
Game night, Line Dancing and Bingo on
Thursday and our Friday Night Dinners,
Youth Breakfast and our BLOE Breakfast we are a busy group.
With all the above said, it shows what dedicated members and
Ladies we have in our lodge. It is because of each and every
one of you this lodge is a success .
As I look back on the year I couldn’t be more proud of the work
that has be done by everyone that jumped in and worked their
tails off to make the Friday night Dinners an enjoyable evening
at our lodge. We have averaged seventy (70) dinners for Friday
nights this year and that is awesome.. To all of the kitchen help
for the Friday night Dinners THANK YOU so very much you are
all rock stars!

There is no way I could have made it through this year without
many of you, As with any position it takes a lot of hard work and
time to be successful. I do feel this year has been a successful
year and there is no way I could have made it without my bride
Kimberly. She is the rock I needed to keep on course. She had
her work cut out for her and she didn’t falter one step. To the
Hostess with the mostess, my bff, love of my life and the rock in
my life, I love you and thank you for standing by my side on this
journey. As this year ends a New Year begins. I asked that we
all continue to support our officers and lodge, because Brandon
Lodge 2383 is the best Lodge in the State of Florida
Please keep our active military and our veteran’s in your
thoughts and prayers.
Elks Facts: The "Jolly Corks," the beginning of the Elks, lasted

William Carleton, William Sheppard, Richard R. Steirly, John T.
Kent, H. Vandemark, H. Bosworth and M.G. Ashe.
Elks Care, Elks Share,

Larry Oliver, Exalted Ruler
We have had so many events this year it is hard to keep up with
them. With all of the events that were put on there was one thing
in common, they were all profitable and helped make operating
the lodge a lot easier. Thanks to all of you that worked an event
and helped make them fun.
I would like to thank each of the officers for their dedication and
support for the last year. As with any group of personalities, we
didn’t always see eye to eye, yet we worked through things and
made things happen for our lodge. I wish each of you continued
success in your duties.
As I close the year I want everyone to know how proud and
thankful I am with the overwhelming support so many members
of this lodge have shown Kim and I the past year. It has been
such a positive experience. Thank you from the bottom of my
heart.
Elk of the Month for February
Our Elk of the Month for February is a member that can
be seen at every regular lodge meeting, House committee
meeting, Veterans Dinner, representing the lodge at Brandon Chamber of Commerce and working on repairs and
cleanup behind the scenes. It’s my honor to recognize
Wayne Hutson as elk of the month. Thank you for all you
do!

Lady of Distinction
for February 2015
I would like to take this opportunity to thank all members, who has supported me and has helped me
throughout the year. It has been a fantastic year. Again
Thank You From The Bottom Of My Heart.
Our valentine this
month goes to a lady
who is always there
when there is work to
be done. She can be
found in the kitchen at
dinners and other functions. Along with these she
held an office which made it necessary for her to be
available at most occasions and doing a great job of
it.
Don’t forget about the Fashion show March 14, 2015.
Tickets on sale with Julie Ebert and Lori Underberg.
Tickets are $20.00 each; bring your friends and
neighbors.
Please don’t forget about our Installation of Officers on
March 24, 2015.
Lori Underberg was our February Lady of Distinction.
Please congratulate her on the great job she has done.
So “Smile” please for our Lady of Distinction for February — Lori Underberg
Thank You,
GOD BLESS
Lady President of the B.L.O.E.

St Patricks Day Dinner
On March 18th for the ladies Wed. night dinner we
are doing a St. Patrick's day dinner. We will have a
choice of ham or corned beef, with potatoes, cabbage and carrots. There will be a jello salad to begin
with and probably some type of cake for dessert. We will be pre-selling tickets (with NONE at the
door) for $8.00.
Always keep Elkdom in our hearts.
Remember we all work together for the betterment of
our Lodge.
To the Brandon Ladies of Elks Thank you so much for
honoring me with Februarys Lady of Distinction Award! I
am truly grateful to be recognized for basically having
fun with, and enjoying the company of, exceptional and
remarkable women. I look forward to many years with
the BLOE, and our continued growth and success.

Sponsor a Camper Friend
Do you know that you, as an Elk, can sponsor your
friends or relatives who have campers or motor homes
to stay at the Brandon Elks campground? They do not
have to be Elks, but you can be their sponsor to stay or
store their camper in our storage facility. If you have
any questions, contact Jack Mineo @ 507-0173. We
need to try to keep our campground as full as possible
and we can do it with your help.
Our District & Regional winner from Winter Haven, Jacob McCullough, recently broke his
thumb, so was unable to compete.
Veterans Dinner
Come out and support our Veteran’s

Teenager of Month
February 2015
Chelsea Baker a senior
at Durant High School
has been selected as
February 2015 Teenager
of the Month. Chelsea
plans to attend Florida
Atlantic University and
will major in Health and
plans to become an Orthodontist. What sets her
aside from other outstanding high school students is that she is the first female in Hillsborough County to play varsity high school baseball and has one of her baseball jerseys hanging in the National Baseball Hall of Fame in
Cooperstown, New York. Chelsea first attracted national attention when as a Little
Leaguer she pitched two perfect games in less
than a year. Chelsea is a good student, takes
honor classes, is involved in sports and clubs
and finds time to perform community service.
Please join me in congratulating Miss Chelsea
Baker!
