Good Morning Vietnam
Considered one of the friendliest countries in Asia, the Vietnamese people are
as distinct and different as in the regions in which they reside. This tour is
designed to embrace the cultural, natural and historical highlights of Vietnam
- From the historic French quarters of the South, to magestic Mekong delta in
the centre to joining the locals for Tai Chi around Hanoi’s Hoan Kiem Lake in the
North.
We will learn to cook traditional dishes in Hoi Ann, take an overnight train into
the minority hill tribe villages near Sapa, jump on the back of a motorbike
through the UNESCO city of Hue and kayak through the emerald waters of
Halong Bay.
Along the way we see amazing buildings, breathtaking natural beauty and enjoy
the friendly nature and great hospitality of Vietnam. Furthermore you will be
personally escorted every step of the way, with all your travel, sightseeing and
accommodation needs taken care of – all you need to worry about is where your
next photo is coming from!
hope you can join me in Vietnam in June!
Cheers
Kellie
Days 1 - 2
Hanoi
You will know you are in Vietnam
as our driver battles his way through the
chaotic traffic, distinctive architecture and
overloaded motorbikes that epitomises
V ietnam capital. W e v is it the iconic
“Old Quarter”, with its maze of ancient
narrow streets and markets, Ho Chi Minh
Mausoleum Presidential Palace and catch
a Water Puppet Show before boarding
the overnight night train to Lao Cai.
Days 3 - 4
Sapa Valley
Our tour takes us through the largest rice
paddy terraces that envelop the Sapa area
and through the villages of Lao Chai and Ta
Van where we will get to experience the way
different minorities live in the north. Identified by
the distinct dress code and famous handicraft,
we explore their highland homes, walk along
remote trails and experience a hill tribe market
– a truly unforgettable experience. Overnight
train to Hanoi.
Days 5 - 7
Halong Bay
With its crystal clear waters and limestone
karsts searching for the sky, Halong
Bay is one of the world’s most natural
wonders. We board a traditional “junk” for
two nights and cruise its tranquil waters
and amazing landscapes, visiting floating
fishing villages, caves, islands, aswell as
swimming and kayaking.
Days 8 - 9
Hue
Hue is the ancient royal capital of Vietnam
with many attractions that represent its
historic past including the Perfume River,
Thien Mu Pagoda, the Palace of Supreme
Peace and the Imperial Citadel.
The best way to get around this ancient
city in on the back of a bike, so hold
on tight as we visit war ruins, pagodas,
tombs, country side & VC villages, local
handicrafts and private homes.
Days 10 - 12
Hoi An
We travel through coastal rice paddies
to the fishing village of Lang Co, before
taking the scenic mountainous route over
the spectacular Hai Van Pass known as
one of the best coast roads in the world.
We undertake a cooking class, take a trip
to the local market and give you a free
day – maybe visit an expert tailor - if you
want anything copied or made this is the
best place to get it!
Days 13 - 15
Saigon & Mekong
We take a walking tour of Ho Chi Min City’s
(known as Saigon to the locals) famous and
historic landmarks including the Reunification
Palace and War Remnants Museum.
We are guided through the famous Cu
Chi tunnels used during the Vietnam War
where you will get a remarkable insight
into the hardships, courage, determination
and terror of guerrilla war.
We take a slow ride down the Mekong,
hop aboard a local sampan and get to
see firsthand the people who make a living
off this mighty river, from floating fish farms
and markets to coconut plantations and
other vocations.
We also have 3 day packages of Siem Reap available from $895 twin share.
