BUSES:
1. Wednesday afternoon buses
From Wednesday 11 March there will be a Beachlands/Maraetai bus for senior students leaving after period 4.
The 3.30 buses will be reserved for junior students.
Seats for senior students cannot be guaranteed on the 3.30 buses.
If a student is not required to stay behind for period 5 he/she is to catch the 2.30 bus.

In order to improve our control of the school buses, students who live in Beachlands and Maraetai will have this indicated on their Student
ID cards. They are to show this to the driver when they get onto the bus. No other students are permitted to use the school buses.
NOTICE FOR SENIOR STUDENTS:
On Wednesday afternoons, senior students are to go straight home if they have not been asked to remain behind by a teacher.
Please do not congregate at the Superette, Litten Road shops or Paparoa Park.
Students who catch buses are to do so immediately (do not go the shops first)..

LATIN GROUP: Latin was the language of ancient Rome, which gave us some of the important ideas and literature in the Western world, and
although some people say it is dead, it is in fact immortal. It is the source of much of our vocabulary and grammar, and is the origin of at least four
other languages. To find out how it works come to H17 at lunchtime on Thursday.
CAREERS
Y13 Maori and Pacific Island students who may go to Otago University are invited to apply for a trip to Dunedin to stay in a college, and
it’s free. Also includes food and activities. See us for further information.
MIT Engineering – there are still some places available for courses ranging from Level 4 to degree, but …… you must apply by Friday 6
March and be prepared to leave school immediately.
If you are interested in learning automotive refinishing or oxy welding, there are places available for STAR courses starting in May. Both
are 5 days long, both offer L2 credits, and both are at MIT. Names to us please..
