Learning outcomes






Demonstrate an increase in skills in the detection, assessment and management of
common mental disorders
Implement into practice the Mental Health Assessment and planning process for
Australian general practice, including correct use of the MBS items
Apply mental health care plans and patient safety assessment and reviews, involving a
multidisciplinary team approach to patient care
Gain a greater appreciation of the patient and carer perspective
Explore personal attitudes to mental health and patients with mental health issues and
recognise how attitudes impact on optimum provision of care
Describe treatment options for Anxiety and Depression
By completing a pre and post test in addition to attending participants will meet criteria for
Mental Health Training in order for patients to access the higher medicare rebate for Mental
Health plans.
This organisation is an authorised provider of
accredited activities under the RACGP QI&CPD
Program. This activity has been allocated 40
Category1 points.
