Acrobatics & Tumbling • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • Real Varsity Sport Scholarships available First sport created in over a century Meets sanctioned by USA Gymnastics 12 schools in the country with A&T 1.5 to 2 hour meet time Halftime to engage in concessions, mascot, video highlights Athletes compete in six events The six events are: compulsory, acro, pyramid, toss, tumbling, and team event. Scored on execution, difficulty, and technique Team rosters vary from 25-40 athletes Backgrounds in Artistic Gymnastics, Acrobatic Gymnastics, Trampoline, Power Tumbling, Competitive Cheer, and Diving can all be transferred skills to the sport. Practice 16-20hours a week Abide by NCAA DII rules Compete in the Waco Center on a full floor consisting of 9 mats Glenville State will begin its first season of competition Spring 2016.
