Dear Teachers, let us all wake to the call given by Gurudev Rabindranath Tagore and lead our country to that heaven of freedom. Shri JJT University in partnership with SPDT Skill Development Centre will come together to host the first International Knowledge conclave on TEACHING TECHNIQUES, SKILLS AND RESEARCH from 2nd April to 4th April 2015 at GOENKA HALL, JB NGR, ANDHERI E, MUMBAI 59. TEACH WITH PASSION: An initiative taken by SPDT skill development centre to help passionate people become highly effective teachers. This program is a healthy and productive marriage of technology and innovative teaching and learning practices. Delving deep into the problem of the rising number of absenteeism in classrooms, an effort is made to come out of the traditional methodology of teaching and make teaching-learning more effective and meaningful. You can’t take on 21st century tasks with 20th century tools & hope to get the job done. As the true value of a teacher is determined not by what he/she knows, nor by her ability, to impart what he/she knows, but by his/her ability to stimulate & inspire others, a desire to know! New technology & methods can be powerful weapons to fight monotony & drudgery of the classrooms. The theme of the conclave will allow a wide-ranging exploration of practical use of innovative teaching skills. The use of innovative methods in educational institutions, not only has the potential to improve education, but also to empower people, strengthen governance and galvanize the effort to achieve the human development goal for the country. Moreover, there will be series of such conferences & workshops constantly guiding & inspiring passionate teachers to use innovative techniques.
