Pick Six Six different players on the Florida roster picked up a singles point for the Gators across the two matches played during the ITA Kick-Off Weekend. A Special Win Spencer Liang, a transfer from Harvard, picked up her first singles win in a Gator uniform on her 20th birthday (Jan. 25) as part of the 4-0 victory over #68 Maryland. Coincidentally, Liang hails from Potomac, Md. Freshman Firsts Three freshmen competed in their first collegiate dual match in the season-opener vs. Elon: Brooke Austin, Josie Kuhlman and Peggy Porter. All three picked up their first doubles wins, while Austin and Porter tallied their first singles wins as well. Opening Day Success The Gators defeated Elon, 4-0, in their first match of the season on Jan. 24, 2015 to open the ITA Kick-Off Weekend in Gainesville.
