The award will be presented at this year’s Benefit for a Brighter Future, May 1, 2015. The Investor Award recognizes select companies for their substantial and long term support, in time and money, of the RCEF and the Redwood City School District. “Stanford University more than meets these characteristics,” said RCEF President Erika Pretell. “Our first Benefit for a Brighter Future event was held on the Stanford Campus in 2007, and since then Stanford has been a regular and much appreciated sponsor of the event.” Benefit for a Brighter Future raises funds to provide general music education and projects in the areas of STEM (science, technology, math), the arts, and wellness. This year’s event will be held at The Grove Café at Canada College.
