The Macrolux Self Support Glazing Bar System The Macrolux Self Supporting Glazing Bar System is designed to provide spanning distances suitable for a multitude of applications - from domestic lean-to conservatories to large commercial glazing areas. Quick and easy to install using the systems simple and effective variable pitch wall plate and eaves beam system. Available in a range of lengths, the system is supplied complete with all structural aluminium profiles, PVC top capping, under cladding, gaskets and end caps Suitable for Lean-to Roofs from 2.5º – 30º Pitch PT Universal Edge Bar - Used at the verge ends of lean-to roofs, the edge bar is suitable for PT70 and PT85 bars and with 16mm and 25mm glazing. The one piece top capping incorporates a side trim to cloak vertical glazing detail PT70 Standard Self Support Glazing Bar - Our smallest self supporting bar, typically used for domestic lean to applications. Can provide a maximum span of 3.15m at 600mm centres and suitable for 16mm to 25mm polycarbonate sheets Variable Pitch Eaves Beam Provides a strong and simple solution to fix bars at eaves on top of windows or upstands and incorporates flipper gasket seals. Suitable for pitches from 2.5º to 30º beam can be fixed from either above or below PT85 Heavy Duty Self Support Glazing Bar - Suitable for larger lean-to roofs or commercial glazing applications where longer spans or heavier loading specifications are required. Can provide a maximum span of up to 4.15m at 600mm centres and suitable for 16mm to 25mm polycarbonate or 24mm glass sealed units (please ask for spanning distances) Note 1: Variable pitch wallplate supplied with gasket for 25mm sheets as standard, 16mm gaskets are supplied on request Note 2: Captive bolts are required to fix glazing bars to wall plate (Available to order, pack of 10 suitable for 5 glazing bars) SPANNING GUIDE Based on 600N/m2 loading when used with polycarbonate sheets 5000 4500 MAX LENGTH Variable Pitch Wall Plate Simple to install between 2.5º to 30º pitch for flashing prior to fitting of roof panels. Place eaves beam onto front frames ensuring that the front lip overhangs. Fix into frames using self tapping screws at approx. 600mm centres Step 3 - After fixing the wall plate adjust the variable angle plate to suit correct ‘tilt’ and add 10mm to the glazing bar length Variable angle plate Step 5 - Trim PVC end caps to angle and fix.
