Batam is one of the 3,000 islands which make up the Riau Archipelago and is closest
to Singapore, which is just 20km or a 45 minute ferry ride away. Batam Island has a
population of around 1.17 million. Its strategic location is complemented by its investorfriendly environment. Operating here comes with a multitude of cost-competitive
advantages that includes space availability, steady labour supply and strong
government support. The island is also home to modern, well-developed infrastructure
that keeps businesses running smoothly.
Bintan is the largest island in the Riau Archipelago. The Island is located 60 minutes
or 50km away from Singapore. The islands stretches from the Straits of Malacca all
the way to the South China Sea. The town of Tanjung Pinang is the capital of this
province, located on the south western shore of Bintan.

utilities as well as an efficient one-stop business centre to assist investors in getting the necessary
permits and licenses to set up facilities and operations within the park.
Bintan Industrial Estate
Located on Bintan Island, Bintan Industrial Estate is 270 hectare sea fronting industrial estate
with up to 4,000 hectares for expansion. The industrial park features a passenger ferry terminal,
on-site customs office, a dedicated port and the future Bintan Resort Airport (ground breaking
held in May 2012). These unique features ensure the smooth flow of raw materials and finished
goods in and out of the industrial estate, allowing MNCs to meet their "Just in Time" production
schedules.
Besides the attractive incentives of the Special Economic Zone and Free Trade Zone, both
Batamindo Industrial Park and Bintan Industrial Estate offers investors the best of both worlds –
Singapore’s pro-business environment and connectivity to global markets and Indonesia’s
abundant land and labour resources.
Lagoi Bay

Singapore, Bintan Resorts is an idyllic tropical
island paradise. Here, a newly masterplanned,
