Description: Students in danger of not graduating on time, failing for the year, or having difficulty
meeting the 4x4 requirements for graduation will have the opportunity to take an original and/or
credit recovery course(s) this spring. Students who take advantage of this program will be able to
earn needed credits at NO cost to the student.
What are the benefits?
Students will have the opportunity to earn required credits for graduation before the end of the
year
Students who attend and complete the spring course may not need to attend summer school
Summer school fees may increase and will cost at least $125 per ½ credit.

 Lymphoma is a type of blood
cancer that occurs when
lymphocytes (white blood cells

acting unusually. Abnormal

If you are bringing a guest to the PROM who is NOT a
Sachse student, then you need to complete the
Dance Guest Permission Form.
Forms can be found on the SHS website, the
Attendance Office, the AP office, the Counselor’s office,
or the Student Activities office.
All completed forms should be returned to the AP office
no later than three school days prior to the event!

– See-though gowns (this includes sheer/mesh overlays that do not
have material underneath). If the see through gowns need to be
lined with backing so they are no longer see through.

Reminders:
• Dresses are to be no more than 2 inches above the knee
(front and back). This also applies to slits in dresses.
Dress must also be at the appropriate length even if
leggings are worn underneath the dress.
• Dress may not be extremely low-cut in the front or back.
The front of the dress must not fall below the bra line; the
back of the dress must not fall below the waist. The back
of your dress must not be open past your back. Your sides
must be covered. No dresses are permitted that are open
or sheer on the front or sides of the dress, unless the
openness is covered by solid material.

• Dresses may not be extremely tight/form-fitting. Be
aware of the material that gathers and rises when you
walk.
• If the dress/skirt has sheer material over the lining of
the dress, then the lining of the dress must be no more
than 2 inches above the knee (front and back). The
sheer material is not what will be measured.

• Boys are encouraged to wear a suit or sports coat, but at a
minimum, they are expected to wear semi-formal wear, such as
slacks, nice shoes, and a nice shirt. Torn clothing will not be
permitted. Ties are encouraged, but not required.
All students:
• If the attire is questionable, students are encouraged to show their
evening wear to administrators beforehand to determine if it is dance
appropriate.
• The determination of the appropriateness of student dress and
grooming shall rest with the principal/assistant principals.
• Students and their dates who are non-compliant with the dress code
will not be admitted to the dance or will be escorted out of the
dance. No refunds will be given for dance dress code infractions in
which these students are asked to leave.

Parking Lot/Off Campus Pass Policy
• Students are not allowed to leave the interior of the
campus for any reason without getting it cleared through
the AP office.
• Teachers should direct students to the AP office with a
detailed pass indicating a request leave the building.
• An AP will authorize or deny the request at that time.
• Car passes will only be granted in cases of emergency.
Message from the Clinic…
• If you are feeling ill, please come to the clinic.
We will call a parent if there is a need to go
home, doctor, etc.
• Students are not advised to call or text a
parent to be released without first going
through the clinic as it will be an unexcused
absence.

Crosswalk in the Front Parking Lot
• All students must walk across the front middle
crosswalk that cuts through the faculty parking lot
BEFORE and AFTER school.
• Students are NOT allowed to cross the faculty
parking lot on either end…you must use the middle
crosswalk for safety reasons.
College Days
• College Days must have SHS administrative approval
prior to the college/university visit.
• College Days are limited to two days and count as
excused absences. These two days must be used during
the senior year, or one may be used during the junior year
under special circumstances with administrative approval.
• The visits must be documented on college/university
letterhead (no copies accepted).
• Sign up in the Attendance Office if you are interested in
taking College Days.

Student Safety Procedures
• Lock Down Drill
– Your teacher will direct you to go to an area of the classroom
that is not visible from the door
– The lights will be turned off
– You are to NOT TALK and take this very seriously
– Never open the door for anyone once it is locked
– If you are in the restroom, go inside a restroom stall, close the
stall, and stand on the toilet
– If you are at lunch, get under the lunch tables.
