2015 Music Scholarships
First Church is pleased to offer music scholarships of up to $1,000 to student musicians in the First
Church family or the Glastonbury community to defray the cost of private lessons. The selection
process will focus on an applicant’s interest in classical music, especially music appropriate for
sacred settings. Through these scholarships, the Board of Music seeks to encourage the appreciation
and performance of church music through formal education and foster church musicians, both
professionals and lay volunteers. Applications are now available in the church office and choir room.

in the fall, then you are eligible to join this faith-based group of urban and suburban youths
- along with adult advisors - June 19-26. You’ll spend a week building community through the
promotion of diversity, performing community service as well as developing leadership skills.
Come join us! Registration forms (at headsuphartford.org) are due April 26 and you can drop
them off to Andrew Wicks at the church office.
