HONORING THE SANCTUARY . . . Please be reminded to respect the sanctity of God’s house
by not bringing food or beverages, including water bottles, in the Sanctuary. Also, please do not
stick items in the bible/hymnal holder compartment of the pews & remember to take all of your
belongings with you. The only place food and beverages are to be consumed is in Fellowship
Hall. Let us all be good stewards and not risk ruining church property and wasting tithes made to

Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 602 West Avenue in Jenkintown from 12:00 p.m.
to 1:00 p.m.

 EASTER SUNRISE SERVICE will be held at 6:30 a.m.
 An “OLD FASHION SUNDAY BREAKFAST” will be served at 8:00 a.m. following Sunrise
Service. Breakfast is free and sponsored by Salem’s Department of Finance.
 EASTER SUNDAY CELEBRATION will be held at 10:00 a.m. Baptism and the Right Hand
of Fellowship will take place during the 10 a.m. service. Music will be provided by the
Evangelical Choir.
PROPHECY CLUB NEWS . . . For the months of March through April 18th, the Prophecy Club
will adopt THE COMBAT LOGISTICS BATTALION by sending hand-written letters of
encouragement and toiletries. Please pick up a flyer outside of the Sanctuary or Fellowship Hall.

Youth Ministry Events
Youth Ministry is hosting an APPLEBEE’S FLAPJACK FUNDRAISER (323 Old York Road,
Jenkintown, PA 19046) on Saturday, April 4, 2015 from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. Tickets are now on
sale for $8.00 per person and can be purchased at the Youth Ministry table after both services.
Come support our youth and enjoy endless pancakes and sausage with your family. Tickets are
also available in the church office during the week. For more information contact Amber Allen,

YOUTH 13 - 18 YEARS OLD: Trip to the Barnes Museum on the Parkway. On Sunday, April
19, 2015, the Arts & Heritage Ministry is sponsoring a trip to The Barnes Museum, for youth ages
13 to 18. Transportation will be provided as long as seats are available. Lunch will be served
immediately after worship service; Salem vans will leave by 1:30 pm, and will return between 4:30
and 5:00. Cost: $10.00 per person. Permission slips required. Parents please register your young
people today in Fellowship Hall. Contact: Amber Allen at 215-279-0763
YOUTH CHURCH will be held on every fourth Sunday following the ministry of the arts
portion of the service. Now through April the youth ministry is raising money for the March of
Dimes, and will be participating in the walk on the fourth Sunday April 26th, instead of having
youth church. For youth to attend the walk, permission slips must be signed, and they will attend
Sunday School the morning of the walk. Permission slips will available at the youth ministry table

Reminder . . . MARCH OF DIMES, MARCH FOR BABIES! The Youth Ministry is participating
in the March for Babies Walk on April 26, 2015
@ Philadelphia Art Museum. Our Goal is to raise
$500 for pre-mature babies. We are asking for your pocket change to make a change in a new
baby’s life. Come down after service to Fellowship Hall to make your donation to March of Dimes.

The MISSION MINISTRY will hold a meeting, open to all Salem members, on Thursday, April
9th @ 7:00 p.m. in the FLC Exodus Room. If you have an interest in participating, come and learn
more about our plans and future mission trips to Haiti, Israel and South Africa, as well as our
involvement with our Local/Regional partners Bread for the World, Helping Hands Rescue
Mission, Chosen 300, Urban Affairs Coalition and Big Brothers-Big Sisters. Our mission efforts are
designed to be a mixture of meaningful service and spiritual growth. Come and learn more about
our ministry as we continue our growth to become a missional church transforming lives for
Christ.
SALEM BOOK CLUB MEMBERS: I'm sure everyone is tired of the winter woes. Spring is on the
way! Our next book club meeting is scheduled for Friday, April 10, 2015 at 7:00 p.m. in the Wm. J.
Lucas Library located in the Family Life Center. We will discuss Scott Mountain by Bill Reamer.

FORM . . . The Salem Scholarship and Endowment Ministry will be sending gift cards to our Salem
members who are currently college students. To receive special recognition from the Scholarship
and Endowment Ministry before final exams, please return a completed College Student Data
Form to the Scholarship Ministry before April 11, 2015. Please download forms from Salem's

Bethlehem Baptist Church has been blessed by God to purchase the property adjacent to the
church located at 712 Penllyn Pike in Spring House, PA. Bethlehem will hold a dedication service
on Sunday, April 12, 2015 at 3:30 p.m. Our own, Rev. Marshall Mitchell will bring the word and
the music will be provided by the Salem Choral Ensemble. The Bethlehem Church Family
expressed that they are looking forward to our presence and support as they celebrate this
momentous occasion.

2015–2016 ELECTION OF CHURCH OFFICERS. . . Attention All Salem Ministries/Organizations
– Hold your 2015/2016 elections early so we can begin to prepare our Annual Report. Please list all
new officers for the upcoming year on the Church Officers Form and return it to the Church Office
by Sunday, April 26, 2015. Each organization must complete a form even if your officers remain

ARTS & HERITAGE MINISTRY in still accepting first deposits for our exciting trip to the
NATIONAL BLACK THEATRE FESTIVAL in Winston-Salem, NC, including a historical tour of

SALEM ADULT CITIZENS, INC. FUND RAISING PROGRAM . . . The Salem Adult Citizens
are enrolled in the PATHMARK Community Rewards Fund Raising Program. Anyone can
participate. Register for the PATHMARK AWARDS CARD. Each time you shop with the card, the
Salem Adult Citizens will earn 1% of the total amount of your bill. You may sign-up for the
Advantage Awards Card on Wednesday or Thursday by visiting the SAC Office. For additional

SAEP: SALEM ACADEMIC ENRICHMENT PROGRAM . . . SAEP operates on Monday, Tuesday,
and Wednesday from 5:00-6:45pm. SAEP is closed on days that schools are closed for holidays,
special school closings, and inclement weather. Numbers have been provided to each family,
please call when your child will not be attending on days other than those listed above. Unless
other arrangements have been made, children should arrive by 5:15 in order to get the full benefit
of the program. Parents may bring children to the rear entrance of the Family Life Center. Parking
is available. Doors open by 5pm.
NOONDAY PRAYER is held each Wednesday at 12:30 pm in the Family Life Center Prayer Room.

 Parking is not allowed in the Triangle Apartments parking lot. These spots are specifically
for the residents. Cars illegally parked will be towed at the owner’s expense.

 ALL MEETINGS must be scheduled through the church office prior to your meeting. Also,
all cancellations must be reported in timely manner for the safety of staff & ministry
members and to avoid unnecessary opening of the building.
 ALL ANNOUNCEMENTS must be submitted to Roslyn Cowan, in the Church Office by
4:00 P.M. on the Tuesday of each week. This is necessary so they can be approved prior to
Sunday morning and included in the Sunday programs. However, when a loved one has
passed the church personnel can be notified immediately regardless of the day or time.
