The evening culminates in the celebration of Holy Communion, the sacrament instituted by Christ on the very night we remember. April 3 | At the Foot of the Cross 7:00pm On this somber day when we remember the sacrifice of the cross we invite you to join us for a time of song and reflection. Celebrate will lead as we consider the grace offered to us on the cross and prepare for Easter through song, scripture, and communion. April 5 | Easter Sunday 8:30 / 11:05am The pastors and choirs will lead the congregation in a celebration of the Resurrection. The Chancel Choir, Spirit Singers, and the Church Orchestra conclude the services with Handel's "Hallelujah Chorus." 9:45 am We join our voices together in this special service of praise. Celebrate leads us in a contemporary celebration of the resurrection of Jesus with moving praise music and an uplifting message from Rev. Jim Bass. Sunday Schools (Adult, Student, & Children) will not meet. Childcare is available for children four and under. 3 coming events 6:30 pm | Sunday, April 19 | Wesley Hall In Memory of Dr. Charlie Wilson If you knew Charlie Wilson, then you know he had a heart for students. After all, he taught them every Sunday for over 40 years. We are celebrating Charlie’s legacy of impacting the lives of our students by joining in Wesley Hall on Sunday, April 19, for an evening of food and fellowship. The fun begins at 6:30 pm with a meal catered by the ladies of ChristWay Community Church, and concludes with a Silent Auction. Proceeds from the auction go towards providing Student Ministry Scholarships. Dinner tickets go on sale between services this Sunday, March 22, at the Ministry Center to the left as you exit the Sanctuary and at the back Welcome Center, or from in the Admin Building during the week. Hebrews was a sermon for a specific people and culture in the midst of martyrdom and persecution, but is also so relevant for us today, reminding us that Jesus is our accessible King—not a faraway God, but an up-close Redeemer. Please join us in E-200 on Wednesdays at 9:30-11:00 am from March 25 through May 6 for Hebrews: the nearness of King Jesus. As always, come late, leave early and/or bring a friend! College Boxes Our college box ministry sends a care package at final exam time to all of our college students. The boxes contain an inspirational book, snacks, and information on young adult events over the break. To ensure that all students receive a box this semester, we request that all names and addresses be emailed to Laura Hetsko at LauraHetsko@att.net by March 31. Because addresses and attendance statuses change very frequently, please provide all addresses, even if it is the same as last semester. Also, we are looking for volunteers to help pack boxes and to provide homemade brownies.
