Job Market 2003 Study at the Faculty of Sciences of Zaragoza University Zaragoza Universyty and Region Zaragoza is the fifth largest city in Spain in terms of population, with over 600,000 inhabitants. It is the capital of the Autonomous Community of Aragón and draws people from the rest of Aragón as well as from neighbouring Autonomous Communities such as CastillaLeón, La Rioja, Navarra and Valencia. Zaragoza has a pleasant climate, with average temperatures in July around 25ºC. In winter, the temperature rarely falls below 0ºC. It is a fairly dry climate, with an average rainfall of 38 mm. in May. This low rainfall is due to a continental climate and to the wind that blows along the Ebro Valley, known as the "Cierzo".
