Meeting opened with Serenity Prayer at 7:30

Everyone introduced themselves
o Secretary/Registrar’s Report
 Will continue posting minutes on the www.aanc24.org website.
 Please give any group information change sheets to secretary to send in to Area
51.
 * The group number from the Group Information Sheet needs to be included on
any contribution check you send to GSO and Area 51.
o Treasurer’s Report
 As of 5/11 the balance for District 24 is $1,143.11.
o CPC/PI Report
 Serendipity donated $100 for Spanish big books and they should be sent out by
the beginning of the next school year.
 Proposed packets being sent out will be ~ $2 in shipping and estimated to be
around 180 of them in total.
 A motion was made to cap postage rate to 69 cents for the packages being sent
out in effort to cut costs of distribution. CPC/PI will determine what can be
added or removed from the packet and will discuss findings with the district
before proceeding to distribute the packets to doctor’s offices.
o CFC/TC
 Summer speakers for Daymark include West End in May and Emerywood in
June.
 The District needs to fill out commitments for July, August, and September.
 The commitment is the 2nd and 4th Sundays at 10 AM for one month.








o Grapevine Report
 Has received around 500 Grapevines!!!
 Would like to add fellowship hall to the list of places for Grapevines to be sent.
 Will draft up a sticker to put on the Grapevines providing more information
about the local area and the website and will send the draft to district members
to verify.
o Archivist’s Report
 If you have group anniversary dates within the next few months you would like
to notify the Archivist of, please contact jerryburke0510@gmail.com.
 In Cleveland on October, 19th , the National Archivists Convention will be held.
Archivist will determine what cost would be to attend the convention and will
notify D24. D24 will then discuss if the district can appropriate funds to support
Archivist’s trip.
o Intergroup Report
 Picnic happening this weekend Saturday, May 16th.
 They need intergroup rep’s from homegroups in D24 to show up to the meeting.
Odd numbered months, 2nd Saturday at 10:00 AM at the club.
 Link to D24 website was put up on Intergroup website.
 D24 website address was given to the Intergroup Hotline number so it can be
given to callers seeking help and information.
o DCM’s Report
 Intergroup number should be added to the District 24 schedule*
 Assembly is this weekend, May 15-17 at the Hilton in north Raleigh.
