Privacy Day 2015 Mobilization Internship
January – April 2015
The ACLU of Oregon seeks highly motivated applicants for the Privacy Day 2015 Mobilization internship.
About the ACLU of Oregon
Founded in 1955, the ACLU of Oregon’s mission is to preserve and protect the individual civil liberties and
civil rights of Oregonians. We believe that the freedoms of press, speech, assembly, and religion, and the
rights to due process, equal protection and privacy, are fundamental to a free people. We advance civil
liberties and civil rights by activities that include litigation, education, and lobbying.
One of the most important ways we can affect change in our country is to make our voices heard by
lawmakers. Every year the ACLU hosts a gathering of ACLU members in Salem to urge state legislators to
protect our civil liberties. This year, the ACLU of Oregon is developing a Privacy Campaign for our annual
Lobby Day, to be held on March 12, 2015, in Salem, Oregon.
Roles and Responsibilities
The Privacy Day Mobilization intern will play a crucial role in the success of the event through email and
phone outreach to schedule all visits with state senators and representatives; creating outreach materials;
