FAQ IAFC 2015

FAQ-Frequently asked questions to make your conference experience easier!
REGISTRATION
Where is IAFC registration located?
Inverness Hall (also the location of IAFC Marketplace and meal functions).
I am already registered for the conference, so why do I need to go to registration?
Everyone must check-in onsite to get a name badge, a designated wristband (based on your
registration type), and other conference materials before attending any events or sessions.
Go to Inverness during IAFC registration hours to pick up conference materials. Verify your agenda
(PRINTED AT HOME) to your name badge. Any problems, please ask registration staff.
How do I get to the Inverness Hall?
From any location on property, dial 0 for a tram to pick you up and take you there. If you have a car or
bike, from Osprey Clubhouse (resort guest registration building), proceed left on Mill Ridge Road to the
stop sign at Packard’s Steakhouse/Copperhead Clubhouse, turn left on Pine Burr Road and follow it to
the last building on the right.
How do I know which classes I registered for?
Print and pack Your Agenda! Your Agenda shows your selected sessions and meals. There may be
last minute class changes so print your agenda AFTER May 5.
How do I know if I am in the pool or on deck for an aquatic session?
Your name-badge lists session numbers for each registered session. A “D” beside the number indicates
deck position; you do not have admittance to the water in that particular session.
CONFERENCE SCHEDULE
Where can I find the daily conference schedule?
The Schedule At A Glance shows the entire IAFC schedule with times and locations for all sessions
and functions. The Schedule At A Glance can be downloaded to your device AFTER May 5 and will
also be available on-site. Always check onsite message boards for any last minute changes in the
schedules.
What pools are used for conference sessions?
Cypress, Copperhead and Island pools are the IAFC pools.
Where are the classrooms for conference sessions located?
Most classrooms are located in Stirling Hall. However, aquatic workshops held in the Island Pool will
use a classroom at the Island Clubhouse.
Can I attend just the pool practical of an aquatic workshop session?
Workshops include both theory and practice. The presenter has developed the program accordingly,
some information is presented in the classroom and other information is shared at the pool. It is
imperative that you attend both parts of the session to gain the knowledge and educational credits.
Where can I find the session outlines?
Session Outlines that have been provided by presenters are available for download from April 15 - June
1, 2015. Not all sessions offer outlines. Master classes are not required to provide outlines. Please
follow up post-conference with the presenter if you are need additional information.
SESSION CHANGES
Can I change a class session?
Yes, unless the class is closed out.
• Prior to the day of the session. You can make a schedule change at IAFC registration, as long as
the session you wish to attend is not closed out. You will need to pick up new name badge.
• Day of the session. Show up at the starting location (pool or classroom) BEFORE the start time to
be placed on the wait list. No one on the wait list will be admitted until 15 minutes after the
designated start time. Wait lists will not be initiated for classes that are closed out.
What happens if I show up to the wrong start location for a session?
The trams run continuously, so you most likely have time to make a quick adjustment. Otherwise you
may choose to be placed on the wait list for the session where you are at; if room allows (15 minutes
after the designated start time) you will be admitted to that class.
WRISTBANDS & NAME BADGES
Do I need my badge and wristband while participating in IAFC?
Yes. You will not be permitted in any sessions, meals, or IAFC areas without your name-bade and
wristband. Please wear your wristband at all times and have your name badge visible to allow staff to
efficiently check you into a session or meal function.
I lost my name badge. What do I do?
Go to IAFC registration and get a new one. Without a badge you will not be admitted to sessions or
meals. It is easier to email ahead to donna@aeawave.com.
MEALS
Where are the meals going to be served?
All meals are served in Inverness Hall beside the IAFC Marketplace.
I forgot to bring my name badge to a meal event but I have my wristband on - can I still get in?
No. Your name badge tells staff whether you are registered for the meal event. Bring your badge to
every meal event. No badge = no admittance.
Go to registration for assistance before trying to get meals.
As an IAFC registrant, how do I add a lunch if I had not selected the meal with my registration?
Check at IAFC registration to receive a lunch pass, or to have a new name badge printed.

a contribution to this collective tip.
The property is big. Can I get to my sessions on time?
Trust the trams. They are scheduled to transport attendees between classrooms and pool during all
session changes. The conference schedule allows time for transfers. From your hotel room, make sure
you call for the tram with plenty of time to spare.
This is my first time at Innisbrook, how do I find my way around the property?
Carry the AEA/Innisbrook Property Map provided when you check-in at IAFC Registration. Give
yourself some time to explore the property before the conference gets underway. The tram drivers will

water. Many attendees love to stay poolside and take notes.
