presented $25,000 in college scholarships to 17 local high
school seniors who have excelled in academics and
demonstrated commitment to their communities.

FOR DESERVING HIGH SCHOOL SENIORS
The law firm will be awarding $25,000 in scholarships to students through its Pastors Forum program.
MIAMI—2/9/15 South Florida law firm Freidin Dobrinsky Brown & Rosenblum is proud to announce its
2nd year scholarship program to help deserving high school seniors with the costs of attending the
college or university of their choice.
The Freidin Dobrinsky Brown & Rosenblum scholarship provides $25,000 to students who have excelled
in academics and demonstrated a commitment to their community. FDBR will award up to 17
scholarships, in varying amounts, to students throughout South Florida.
FDBR is a law firm dedicated to giving back to the community. In conjunction with the scholarship
program, FDBR also initiated a Pastors Forum with fellow attorney Vernita Williams. The goal of the
Pastors Forum is to build relationships with pastors and church leaders who may need guidance helping
their congregations with common as well as complex legal issues.
“We want to recognize those students in our community who have worked hard to distinguish

scholarship program rewards outstanding high school students for their achievements and hopefully will
enable them to excel in college.”
Students interested in applying for the scholarship must be a graduating high school senior, have a
minimum GPA of 3.0, and be involved in their community through extracurricular activities or their
church. Students are also required to complete an essay as outlined in the application form.

scholarship, one (1) $2,500 scholarship and fourteen (14) $1,000
scholarships.
APPLICATION GUIDELINES
Freidin Dobrinsky Brown & Rosenblum Scholarship: FDBR focuses on serious personal injury cases
caused by medical malpractice, car accidents, defective products and dangerous drugs. This scholarship
was created to recognize students who have excelled in academics and demonstrated a commitment to
their community.
DEADLINE: March 31, 2015
Application deadline is Tuesday, March 31, 2015. Completed applications must be postmarked by this
date. Incomplete applications will not be considered. Scholarship awards will be applied toward the
winners’ first year college tuition in the Fall of 2015.

ELIGIBILITY
In order to be considered for a scholarship, the applicant must meet the following criteria:






Applicant must be a high school student enrolled in a Miami-Dade or Broward County public or
private school, or home-schooled.
Applicant must have a minimum GPA of 3.0 by the end of the second grading period of their
senior year
Applicant must submit an official transcript from the high school registrar along with a copy of
their SAT and/or ACT score
Applicant must be accepted to and enroll in a four year accredited college or university in the
USA. Please submit a copy of the letter of acceptance to the four year accredited college or
university.
One (1) letter of recommendation from a current high school teacher or administrator on school
letterhead
Applicant must complete an essay as outlined in the application form.
