you so dare. Spaces are limited and acceptance will be on a first in first served basis.

Courses and Events:
Multi-pitch and Transitions Rock Course
As many rock climbers know, more serious accidents occur while you are at the top of a
climb than while you are moving up it. This is a vital course for anyone who wants to be able
to move from indoor leading to outdoor sport and multi-pitch climbing.
The Multi-Pitch and Transitions Rock Course (MPTRC) is a two-day course designed for
those who already have some lead climbing experience, either indoors or outdoors. Ideally
participants would have completed a lead climbing course at a local climbing gym and been
assessed as able to lead climb and belay, or have equivalent experience on rock.
We are lucky to have one of the most experienced rock instructors around, Dave Brash, run
this course for on behalf of the NZAC.
Course fees: $280 Click here for course info
The Sebastopol Slabmaster Challenge
Some manner of crazy multipitch speed toprope competition is being devised for one of the
days. Thanks to Aspiring for providing some prizes for the event.

General Climbing
The camp organisers will have a list of all the participants and their reported levels of
experience on rock. They can help to match up climbing partners at the camp.
If you are coming down with friends and you are able to let a stray tag along and give them a
catch, then great – let us know on your application.
Risk Management
There is risk associated with traveling and climbing in the New Zealand mountains. You are
expected to take responsibility for your own safety and to take appropriate action to preserve
other people’s safety when appropriate. With a higher volume of traffic at multipitch crags
there comes an increased risk of injury from rockfall. Please take extra care when on route,
yell like a crazy person if you dislodge anything and wear a helmet if you are anywhere near
the crags.
Meet Start / Finish
Your entry fee covers accommodation on Thursday 2nd, Friday 3rd, Saturday 4th and Sunday
5th April, there will be social events of various degrees of informality on each night. Most
people will aim to travel down on the Thursday evening and back home on the Monday.
