People often drive their cars because their homes or businesses lie beyond easy walking distance to public transit. This is known as the ‘last mile problem.’ Many residences and businesses lay beyond an easy walking distance to a public transit station, this is known as the "last mile problem". As a result many people use their car instead. Swiftmile aims to solve this by launching the world’s first rental and charging solution for individual short distance commutes. Swiftmile’s "Locking, charging and sharing system" for light electric vehicles allows users to check out/in any of the LEVs using our Swiftmile App. "With our innovative assortment of Portable Electric Transportation Solutions (PETS), Swiftmile has achieved what Segway and others failed to do – Swiftmile is truly helping to solve the “last‐mile problem” in personal urban transportation. By utilizing the advanced technology of light yet powerful Lithium‐ion polymer (LiPo) batteries, our PETS can travel 15+ miles on a single charge. PETS are compact, lightweight, and easy to fold down to carry onto public transit, making them the ideal transportation option for congested urban environments. Plus, they come with a high ROLE score – Return On Life Enjoyment!" states Colin Roche, Founder & CEO, Swiftmile. In addition to renting LEVs, Swiftmile provides an opportunity for electric bike or scooter owners to plug in for a charge. Charging and rental stations will be located throughout the Bay Area.
